Gov. Scott on Bieber: Visiting Florida is ‘nice…but if you come here you’ve got to comply with the law’

by George Bennett | January 23rd, 2014

Gov. Rick Scott on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach today.

PALM BEACH — Gov. Rick Scott, known for answering almost any question with a plug for economic development, responded to a query about Justin Bieber‘s Miami Beach DUI/drag-racing arrest with a reference to Florida’s tourism stats.

Asked to comment on the Bieber bust, Scott said: “Here’s the nice thing: People want to come to our state. We’ve had record tourism numbers it looks like again last year. So people want to come to our state, basically they like all parts of our state. But if you come here you’ve got to comply with the law.”

Scott dropped by Worth Avenue to decry the lack of action by the federal government to block big increases in flood insurance rates. Scott contends President Barack Obama can block the rate hikes without waiting for Congress to act.

How about Scott apply that advice to his own life. he masterminded the largest fraud ever committed in the history of the medicare program. His deposition is posted on youtube. I have never watch someone act so dumb in my life. Scott should be serving federal prison time. Instead he bought his way into the state house. Regardless of who is running against him, we cannot send this fraud and criminal back to Tallahassee.

The spin party of course making bieber about tourism.

  3. Al Says:

He may have a terrible past (the medicare fraud) but as a governor he is far from the worst. Economic development has been much better under Scott than Crist.
