Frankel schedules Wednesday teleconference with seniors

by George Bennett | April 9th, 2013

Freshman U.S. Rep. Lois Frankel, D-West Palm Beach, will hold a teleconference with seniors from her Palm Beach-Broward district on Wednesday.

It’s Frankel’s first town hall-type meeting since taking office in January.

About 50,000 automated phone calls will be placed to senior households in congressional District 22 inviting recipients to the 4 p.m. conference.

Frankel plans to talk about the federal budget and protecting Medicare and Social Security, her office said. She will also field questions from seniors. The event is expected to last an hour.
