Tears of joy for Jeb Bush at CPAC

by George Bennett | March 16th, 2013

University of Central Florida student Rebecca McLaughlin cries after meeting Jeb Bush at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Friday.

OXON HILL, Md. — Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush challenged the Republican Party to be more inclusive during a Friday night speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference just outside Washington.

“The face of the Republican Party needs to be the face of every American, and we need to be the party of inclusion and acceptance. It’s our heritage and it’s our future, and we need to couch our efforts in those terms,” Bush said in a speech that also included some his characteristic policy wonkery and broad optimism about America’s potential.

CPAC has long been a showcase for potential Republican presidential candidates, and Bush has not shut the door on a 2016 run. Some Bush fans wore “Jeb! ’16″ stickers, including Rebecca McLaughlin of Orlando, a University of Central Florida student who shed tears of excitement and joy when she met Bush at a book signing before his speech.

With everyone in Congress squawking about this and that and no decisions, there is one thing that everyone can be assured of is that Jeb Bush is truly the moderate of Team Bush, a little too moderate for me, but that’s ok. Some things he stands for are also a little Democratic for me, but that’s ok…I think he would appeal to both sides equally. Too, too bad some don’t trust him to be just that. He would be a nice refreshing change for both parties, however, probably won’t happen and I bet most would be happy about that. Oh what the heck.

Marco Rubio looked like a pandering hack. How can a guy hate government so much when he moved mountains to get a cushy job ‘teaching’ at a community college on the public dime?

Jeb looked and sounded like an adult. That probably disqualifies him from holding office any more.

The republican party needs to wake up and get a clue on the current trend of America. We don’t give any respect for you or your party when you start talking about tax breaks for the rich. Lets just look at wages for the last thirty years, you tell the American people to vote for republicans, because it o.k. To make money. Thats true, yes I agree, but lets see what you have achieved. If you give tax breaks to the rich, it just comes back to you in another way. We have been waiting for that other way. This is what Obama and the Dems called fairy dust. Thats just what it is, I call it BS. Lets take a look at the real causes of inflation. Top level management has increased the cost of goods in the past 30 tears of a rate over 200 times the growth rate of the average workers wage. This is what has pushed every modernized country towards socialization. The GOP and so called conservative values have adopted the old ways of birth from England and you are going to push the people of America towards socialism. Its not anyones fault, but your own bad politics. You are the problem. Every country that has grown economically, in the modern world has socialized there wealth system and health system and are moving forward way ahead of America. You are telling Americans that this is just not possible. Stop, lying to the American people, and start representing the majority. You want to win an election. Look at the problem. You the republicans are the problem. The rich have to contribute the most amount of taxes, trickle down economics were only modeled for 3 year short term recovery efforts in balanced budget situations. We all know this to be fact, even Ronald Reagan knew this to be fact. To bad the republican party forgot what President Ronald Reagan tried teach America. Freedom is not free and it is time for the rich to pay their own way.

If you want things to be fair in the free world, then lets make it fair. Flat tax rate for everyone. 40% of your wages and nobody has to pay any other taxes. No loup holes no deductions and no contributions. We all pay the same rate. No more bills and no more 2 million dollar hospital bills. All our money goes into one pool and everyone has to contribute. If you don’t work you don’t get service. The more you work the more you get payed. Why has our work ethics changed. Why, do pay top level management 200 times more money than they are worth. Why,do we as a hole think that this was sustainable. You know it was going to cost you down the road. Do you actually think that the CEO making $750,000 a year 30 years ago, and now he wants $50,000,000 a year and an additional bonus package; travel expenses, corporate jets, company cars, mandatory bonuses(even when the company looses money)and $20,000,000 million dollars to end his contract. This is passed off to the consumer of that companies product cost. This is the trickle down fairy dust the republicans want you to believe in. This would mean if all the republicans were correct that you as a worker 30 years ago making $10.00 an hour as a plumber, today that plumber is making $660.00 an hour. This can only mean one thing, trickle down economics is a republican dream that has done nothing but make the rich richer and you stay poor. Tell me any worker who has had a pay increase of 66 times his pay 30 years ago besides the CEO and top level management. You earned it just as much as they did. Tell your top level management its time you pay labor more and you take the cut in pay. This is our inflation rate, you pay the riches wages and benefits and their taxes and you go nowhere. Then you have the republicans convince you that the rich earned it and you don’t deserve it. Why, I ask has your pay not increased by 66 times the rate that the top level management has increased. Do you still do the same job. Has you pay rate increased 66 times the rate of 30 years ago. Where is the trickle down effect? Its in the fairy dust. To bad you did not get any. Time for Americans to look at the real problem. Fair wages and benefits for all. Cut the waist and tell the top level management to get real and accept a real wage and stop inflation. America is the next China and you can that your companies CEO and top level management for the inflation rate and poverty level in this country. Do the math.
