Former Palm Beach County Commissioner Burt Aaronson now a lobbyist

by George Bennett | March 4th, 2013

Former Palm Beach County Commissioner Burt Aaronson, whose 20-year tenure on the board ended in November because of term limits, will be in Tallahassee this week as a freshly registered lobbyist.

Aaronson is signed up to attend Palm Beach County Days, the county’s annual lobbying blitz, as a representative of The Aaronson Group LLC, a business that filed incorporation papers in November and operates out of son Daniel Aaronson‘s law offices in Fort Lauderdale.

Burt Aaronson is registered to lobby on behalf of Delray Medical Center. His lobbyist registration form arrived in Tallahassee on Friday afternoon. While he can lobby the legislature and the executive branch, Aaronson and other former commissioners are barred from lobbying county government for two years after leaving office.

  1. Brian O'Donaghey Says:

Lobbyists – the legalized chancre sores of our political system.
Quoted in the latest issue of Foreign Policy magazine, “In all other countries when people or organized groups induce or pressure politicians with donations, gifts, key information, bloc voting support, trips, etc., it’s called corruption. In the US it’s an actual profession called lobbying.”

  2. What Goes in me, stays in me Says:

    @ Brian,

Please go back and read the definition of “Lobbyist”!

I was in Vegas once and checking into a hotel where I met an interesting looking woman in the lobby. She refered to herself as a lobbyist and she wanted to “welcome me to Vegas” so, long story short, she follows me up to my room, one thing leads another, she ties me up to the headboard, did some weird butt-stuff and defecated on my chest. Turns out it was a guy and let me tell you, he was packing.

So the true definition of “lobbyist” is: A tranny lounge lizard with a scat fetish.

    “The more you know”

He is retired because of term limits.
He was and is in the hands of the developers (Look at the agreserve in West Boynton)
This old mam should retire and sit around the pool at his condo in Delray.

  4. Stink Says:

Palm beach county politicians are stinky. Even when they retire.

  5. Toni Says:

Aaronson took as much as he could over the years from Palm Beach County, now he’ll do the same in Tallahassee. He’s a professional flim flam man; I wouldn’t trust him any further than I could throw him.

  6. Hwy11boy Says:

Burt is an old doosch bag and stop feeding at the teet of PBC. Go away…

  7. AC/DC Says:

Whatever green space that Burt hasn’t paved over is now in his hands again. Kiss whatever is left in the so called “Ag reserve” goodbye, along with anything west of town. Let the paving commence!

  8. jac Says:

He will need this to fund his only retirement. He totally understand that he will probably never hardly any of the one he got thru his other job. You can’t tax people that were put on welfare from legislators like him.

  9. Thank GOD! Says:

Burt seems to have always buttered both sides

Don’t forget- Burt GAVE to Broward County FREE PBC land.
