Scott heads to ailing mom

by John Kennedy | October 25th, 2012

campaigning in 2010   Gov. Rick Scott has scrapped most of his Thursday schedule and is heading to Kansas City to be with his ailing mother, Esther, who is fighting an infection and hospitalized in intensive care.

Scott on Twitter this morning asked for prayers for his mom, 84, who campaigned with him in 2010 and was featured in television spots assuring voters the first-time candidate was a ‘good boy.’ She divides her time between her home in Kansas City and Florida.

Shortly after unveiling sweeping proposals for college and K-12 education next year at a conference in Fort Myers, Scott interrupted his scheduled to fly west. He tweeted, “This year has been tough,” adding that his wife, Ann, lost her father in January that her mother died last month.

What! NO haters bashing Governor Scott?

Did they finally develop some couth?

  2. Obama/Dems2012 Says:

    Dear Deals With Devils,

See, it’s because we are THINKING, FEELING human beings unlike some in your party.

    “Bury Obamacare with Ted Kennedy”
“Pregnancy from rape is something God intended”
    “Second Amendment remedies”
    “Let them die!”
“I’ll never convince the 47% to take responsibility and care for their lives.”

Honestly, I hope Esther gets better soon. We are all Americans and it’s time we (ahem Repubublicans) start acting like it.

Hopefully Gov. Scott will be back to the state in time to see Obama get re-elected, win FL’s 29 electoral college votes, and watch a Democrat win the state Attorney General position.

God Bless Esther Scott and all this nation’s seniors including and especially my grandmother who is 93 and going strong!

  3. Talking about Scott's mother Says:

Governor Rick Scott didn’t say those words, but that doesn’t stop democrats from spouting hate towards Scott.

His parent is ill. Give him a break. Don’t demonstrate pathetic name calling hate toward him at this time.

and there is nothing wrong with this list:

‘self deportation’ – you broke a law, own up, get in line behind those who decided to follow the lawful procedures to enter the USA,

pregnancies do result as a product of rape-that wasn’t meant as God wanted a woman raped to create a baby, that was the twisted logic of democrats,

let them die- that’s what will happen if a panel of doctors in Washington DC determine what tests, procedures should be undertaken…yeah, your local doctor can make recommendations but Obamacare won’t pay for it.

Putting education in the hands of those in Washington DC has taken CONTROL of our LOCAL education. You want the federal monies….start dancing to the government’s tune!

Keep your education local, keep your healthcare local –

NO to Obamacare=new President, NO to ALL democrat senators!

    Just tired of the hate.

  4. Obama/Dems2012 Says:

Thank you for proving my point.

You say “tired of the hate” but just look at you, defending the indefensible over nothing more than the label of your party of choice.

In his stump speech, Obama makes the case that it doesn’t matter where you’re from in America, what color your skin, ethnicity, wealth status, religion, etc… That if you’re an American you can make it if you try.

He said, everyone has a place in the American Family.

We don’t deport members of our American family because they were brought here illegally as children.

We don’t refuse someone health care for a lack of money.

Our military doesn’t fight for Republicans or Democrats, they fight for the United States of America.

We don’t automatically accuse women of making up a story about being raped, we take our American women at their word just like we do our men.

And we do NOT yell out “You Lie” to the President of the United States or tell our neighbors that if they don’t have health insurance they should simply be allowed to die.

If anyone is sick of the hate, it is the reasonable people of America — from all parties and no party — who fight back every single day against the far right and their hatred of government, their worhsip of the wealthy, and plans that would decimate the American middle class.

Yes. We ARE tired of the hate.

YOUR hatred for anyone who is not in lock-step with the far right.

Btw, you will notice that I expressed ZERO animosity towards Rick Scott or his mother, who I am sure is a sweet woman. I simply vehemently disagree with his policies which I see as an abdication of our democratic principles and a severe threat to the American Dream.

    @ Obama/Dems2012

How can you look yourself in the mirror?!? How can you defend a president that has FAILED on EVERY issue?! He has successfully guaranteed that a democrat will not see the White House for at least a decade and this was my third time purchasing a sucker/enlarger for the clitoral area. The others were expensive and not at all worth the amount paid. I was anxious to get this product. I just recently purchased the size does matter P***y pump, so I went ahead and added this item to the mix. It is great. I love the comfort of the cylinder against my skin. The edges are smooth. It stays put after removal of the pump and it has definitely excited and enhanced the sensitivity of that area. Good addition to my toy chest!!
