Obama staying in low-key Boca hotel before morning rally in Delrayby Andrew Abramson | October 23rd, 2012
BOCA RATON — While Mitt Romney spent a long weekend in the highly visible Delray Beach Marriott just steps away from the beach, President Obama is spending his one night in South Florida at the Embassy Suites on NW 53rd St in Boca Raton.
Security is extremely tight in the entire circle of hotels on NW 53rd St. Police have barricaded the entrance to side streets leading to the Embassy Suites and Guest Suites, requiring drivers to show room cards before they can gain entrance.
In addition to the large contingent of Boca Raton police and Secret Service camped out at the Embassy Suites, a Boca police van is also camped out at the Guest Suites across the street.
Now that he’s completed his final debate and instant polls are pundits are scoring it a victory for the president, Obama can have a restful night before hosting a rally at the Delray Beach Tennis Center this morning. He is expected to appear around 10:15 a.m.
