Q-poll: Obama +9 in Florida; Democrats +9 in survey sample

by George Bennett | September 26th, 2012

Eight polls released since Mitt Romney‘s “47 percent” remarks went viral show President Obama with a lead of between 1 and 5 points over the Republican nominee in Florida while one poll shows Romney with a 1-point edge.

But a new Quinnipiac University survey released today gives Obama a 53-to-44 percent lead in the Sunshine State — the biggest margin he’s had in any poll in more than a year. Obama led by 3 points in Quinnipiac’s Florida poll one month ago.

Quinnipiac’s Florida sample is 36 percent Democratic, 27 percent Republican and 33 percent independent. Actual turnout in 2008, when Obama carried the state with 51 percent, was 37 percent Democratic and 34 percent Republican, according to exit polls.

Quinnipiac’s new Florida poll is part of a swing-state package for The New York Times and CBS News that also shows Obama with a 10-point lead in Ohio and a 12-point lead in Pennsylvania.

A Poll by Academia and funded through the George Soros Propaganda Bank is valueless…Wake Up America !

  2. Forgone Conclusion Says:

No poll is ever correct if it shows the GOP/Teabagger party losing. That is reserved exclusively for “everyone else!” Can you taste the fascism?

  3. Riley Says:

I have a very hard time believing that Republicans are going to turn out 7 points less than they did in 2008. If anything, this poll is at least 7 points in favor of Obama and Democrats. Not even the Democrats believe they are going to repeat the turnout model of 2008. This poll suggests they are going to do better than 2008! Totally absurd.

  4. Rohinton Irani Says:

” Well, there are 47% of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right? There are 47% who are with him. Who are dependent upon government, who believe that– that they are victims, who believe that government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they’re entitled to healthcare, to food, to housing, to you name it. But that’s– it’s an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what. ”

” And– and so MY JOB IS NOT TO WORRY ABOUT THOSE PEOPLE !. I’ll never convince them that they should take personal responsibility and care for for their lives. What I have to do is convince the 5% to 10% in the center that are independents, that are thoughtful, that look at voting one way or the other depending upon in some cases emotion. Whether they like the guy or not. ”

    Any Questions ?

Obama tactic: try to convince the public he’s ahead, he’ll win, it’s useless, it’s over.

Obama tactic: try to convince the public Obama provided adequate protection in unstable Libya in unstable region of the world during the 9/11 anniversary:

(despite Amb Stevens stating his concerns about escalating violence in Libya and being on Al Qaeda hit list in his personal diary)

Obama used Libyan security to ‘protect’ Stevens instead of American security-just didn’t want to give Libyans the ‘perception’ that US did not trust Libyan security forces.

Obama’s more worried about how Libyans ‘feel’ than protection of Americans in Libya and elsewhere.

It’s all about PERCEPTIONS and FEELINGS. That is NO WAY to run Foreign policy.

Obama halted the ‘joint patrols in Afghanistan because Afghanis were turning their American-given weapons on the American soldiers patrolling with them!

In additon, 6 harrier jets ($200 million) airplane hangar, American colonel and US soldiers murdered due to Obama’s Rules of Engagement in Afghanistan. It’s the ‘let’s be friends’ instead of safety for our soldiers

Obama failed to attend (less than 50% attendance record) the daily INTELLIGENCE MEETINGS!..guess it’s more important to golf (maybe that’s where they need to hold these mtgs!)

but Obama appears on Letterman (couldNOT tell Letterman the total DEBT amount -$16 trillion), The View, talked to ‘Pimp with a Limp’ radio host, attend Hollyweird parties and goes to nightclubs to party with Jayz!

    Obama does have his priorites!

Americans are dealing with: high food costs, high gas prices, $16 trillion debt, an Obama divided nation, devalued homes, an escalating confrontation with China, Japan, Vietnam (amazing how that is popping up again!) over islands in asian seas-oil, gas in them thar areas!

and the US’s DEpendence on Foreign Energy in UNSTABLE countries in an UNSTABLE region of the world is putting America and Americans at-risk!

American should NOT be DEpendent on these UNSTABLE areas for OUR ENERGY.

Let’s put the UNemployed to work develop OUR OWN ENERGY.

    NO in NOvember
    NO to OWEbama
REPEAL ObamaCare = new President, republican senators

NO to more Obama Supreme Court JUDGES whose decisions will shape America for the next 40 years.

This poll is so flawed it is not even worth discussing. Peter Brown must be on Axelrods payroll.

  7. LeBrit Says:

“RI” – We are following the European model, where the Socialists have ‘bought’ power through Keynesian Economics and perpetuating
the Government subsidized “under privileged” and growing class of non-wealth producing element of labor. The President has gone through the whole menu of promises for Utopia being
just around the corner. But to ensure victory

  8. LeBrit Says:

“RI” – Oops! The text took-off…

But to ensure victory…Heaven forbid…the President has played the Socialists’ trump card in the shape of “The Politics of Envy” (…or “Class Warfare”). The Socialists have played this
one innumerable times in Europe…look at the mess it has produced with bankrupt Economies!
If you look into the President’s background. Socialism is an innate feature of his character/mindset. He will not be working with the Opposition to turn the Economy around by
emulating Bill Clinton in his second term.

  9. Sizemore Says:

These polls are so off, its killing the credibility of the pollsters themselves.

  10. legal eagle Says:

OH! Looky here! Look who joined the party…that’s right! Me!

The right to a ‘speedy trial’ is at the heart of American criminal justice… you are assumed innocent until proven guilty by a court of competent jurisdiction/jury of peers!

That connotes six months in most states…

… and is now rarely met!

Consider that ‘workplace violence’ of Ft Hood {hint: ALLAHU ACKBAR screamed by Muslim Jihadist Nadal Hasan screamed before his premeditated murder of 13 innocents three years ago…}..

    … THREE YEARS???

All the facts are known within a month of any incident… little application of brainpower can determine anything of substance a month following that…

… all the rest is just lawyer fairy tale!

Cut off Major Nasan’s beard, shackle him into court and get the obvious out of the way…

… with execution and pig carcass internment following within six more months!

Start to finish… it is a pervertion of American criminal justice for the sentence to be carried out in any more than a year from the crime alleged!

We are all entitled to our opinion of the indicted’s guilt or innocence…

… we used to have ‘newspapers’ with ‘journalists’ that protected the right of those to a fair trial without flaming the racecard or baiting the anti-gun bigots!

How can they purport to respect the First Amendment…
… and wage holy war on the Second… without which their First is dead on arrival!

  11. Truth Says:

Will someone please ask Peter Brown how in the world he concludes that Republicans are more depressed than they were in 2008? If anything the 2010 elections proved that is incorrect.

These polls are so overweighted with dems, they canot be taken seriously.

  12. Ciara Vero Says:

    @ #6 / MPA1998
“This poll is so flawed it is not even worth discussing. Peter Brown must be on Axelrods payroll.”

The fact that this poll has garnered such media attention is reason enough for us, media consumers, to discuss it. A better comment would have left out the attack on Peter Brown, and would have focused on the poll itself, explaining to the other readers what makes this poll flawed.

I can only hope that you’ll read this comment, and rectify the situation. :) Cheers.

  13. LeBrit Says:

‘CV’ – You must be a new immigrant and not familiar with American political scene, despite your good English…?? Perhaps you ought to hone-up on Political History since the 60′s, particularly. You might glean some understanding of media bias going to new levels and it’s giving credence to ridiculous and implausible polling differences in “Swing States.”

  14. More Questions Says:

The public is getting a little bit more sophisticated when it comes to polling.

There are registered voters…do they vote in every election…NO! They are just registered, think of groups who go out and register voters. Does that mean these registered are going to vote? NO!

Then, there are Likely Voters. These are people who are registered and they vote REGULARLY! These people show up at the polls! they are Likely voters.

Then there is the percentage of political parties who are questioned and polled.

Some pollsters use the high percentage of democrats who showed up in 2008 election as the percentage of democrats who will vote in 2012.

(BOTH sides in this race ACKNOWLEDGE that the turnout will NOT, repeat, will NOT be as high as 2008). So using that 2008 percentage is not accurate.

I think even more important is the age group of those questioned, the gender of those questioned -woman vote more than men- and if these are urban- city dwellers- or suburban voters.

From now on when you read about polling look to see if those questioned were: registered voters or likely voters; percentage of democrats, republicans, independents questioned based on what election year; and the gender and age of those polled.

Then you can decide for yourself if Obama is in the leader, taking the lead or is Obama tied with Romney.

Can’t depend on slanted, biased polling.

Become more sophisticated, don’t eat the dope peddle by the Post Times

Do NOT be fooled. Look deeper at what is being presented.

  15. everything is tainted Says:

AxelROT is running all these communist inspired anti Romney ads. They claim to show how much federal income taxes ROMNEY paid then the go on to show how much and how many other taxes the people have to pay BUT, as usual their communist ways fail to report that ROMNEY pays real estate taxes, utility taxes, various state and sales taxes just like every other AMERICAN TAXPAYER!

Anyone who can not see thought this Marxist regime is as blind as a bat or has something to gain for the destruction of the USA. Maybe George Soros will let them walk with him to recover the spoils of destruction like he did in the best year of his life 1944 while plundering Hitler’s victims!

  16. Bruno Says:

This past week, Trump offered to give $5 million to a charity of Obama’s choice if he releases his college and passport records. Obama responded by telling his own joke about him and Trump fighting while growing up in Kenya.

  17. LeBrit Says:

Dream on Quinnipiac and your Cloward-Piven Strategy clowns; funded by George Soros, no doubt !
