Frankel’s first TV ad: I always take your side
by Andrew Abramson | September 19th, 2012Democrat Lois Frankel released the first TV ad of her congressional race against Republican Adam Hasner, telling voters “I always take your side.”
Frankel said she cut crime, created jobs and balanced the budget as mayor of West Palm Beach.
While all of her claims are true, many city jobs she created were later slashed as the economy tanked. Also, it’s a state requirement for cities to balance their budget. Crime did drop while Frankel was in office.
Joshua Karp, a spokesman for Frankel’s campaign, said Wednesday that Frankel’s policies “brought over 70 businesses to the community.” He also said that “balancing any budget is about making the right decisions, and in a difficult economy, Lois balanced the city budget in an even-handed way.”
Hasner released his first TV ad yesterday.
