Rubio praises Romney’s ‘truly inspired’ pick of Ryan as running mate

by George Bennett | August 11th, 2012

Sen. Marco Rubio, the top choice of many conservatives and Floridians to be Mitt Romney‘s running mate, says Romney’s choice of House Budget Chairman Paul Ryan is “inspired.”

Here’s a statement released by Rubio moments after Romney and Ryan made their first joint appearance:

“Throughout his life, Mitt Romney has made great decisions, and choosing Paul Ryan as his running mate is a truly inspired choice. I got to know Paul during my Senate campaign when he endorsed me early on when I was still considered a long shot. Paul Ryan is a courageous reformer who understands our nation’s challenges, has proposed bold policy solutions to solve them, and has shown the courage to stand up to President Obama and other Washington politicians trying to tear him down.

“The Romney-Ryan ticket is going to win in November because it offers the American people visionary leadership to recapture the free enterprise spirit that has empowered countless Americans to build businesses from scratch and live the American dream. I’m excited about the visionary change a Romney-Ryan team will bring to Washington, and I look forward to campaigning with them this fall.”

  1. No more drama Says:

Finally, there will be a serious discussion in politics. Let’s get rid of the drama PR and hear what the candidates have to say on the economy, the budget and jobs.

Let both candidates lay out their plans and have a discussion.

‘…equal opportunity doesn’t mean equal outcome’.

We are going to have to listen and read; the drama needs to go away and serious discussion needs to step forth.

Now we will never know how paid for his kitchen floors….:(

How far to the right can the Republican party go? Paul Ryan, who wants to destroy medicare/medicaid, give MORE tax breaks to the rich on top of the Bu$h tax breaks and with Ryan’s view on abortion and contraception proves that the GOP/Teabagger party IS AT WAR WITH WOMEN. Get all the computer “programmers” out in full force cause the only way the Rmoney/Ryan ticket can win is to fix the election. This is a gift to Obama. Just how stupid does the GOP/Teabagger party think the American people are? Not stupid enough to go this far to the right. The Republicans once upon a time had some respectability (60 years ago). Now they are with their teabagger cohorts, nothing but the party of extremism. Can you say KKK? I guess when Rmoney announced his choice we should refer to the ticket as Ryan/Rmoney since apparently Rmoney forget what office he is running for. What an idiot, what a choice! Jackass 1 and jackass 2, they ought to make a movie!

T.J. has apparently gone off his meds again.

There’s no question T.J. is a left wing partisan gum-flapper because he thinks the Republicans only had respectability way back before the big socialist health and welfare spending programs began.

Whenever a partisan true-believer on either side, like T.J. here on the left, pop off in a wild-eyed, hair-pulling, screeching rant like the one above …

aimed at a particular candidate or two of the other side …

the best conclusion is that they are afraid, very afraid of possibly losing their grip on power.

Now let’s have a proper discussion of the issues, rather than more pandering and propaganda.

Yes, T.J., we realize you and your ilk are not capable of that.

Please note that whatsup will never talk specifics like the specifics that I mentioned as with any right winger, it’s ALL about B.S. and nothing else. 60 years ago was the time of Eisenhower, not Roosevelt, try and remember the timeline. Eisenhower was the LAST RESPECTABLE REPUBLICON, remember? I know it’s hard getting your facts right when you drink the Republicon/Teabagger kool aid but you might just try. You MUST be one of the 1% or just too dumb to know any better. Quit listening to Rushbo and Faux news and try to educate yourself. I know, I know, that’s just not possible. Ignorance is truly bliss!

Inspired choice, courageous reformer, bold policy solutions, visionary leadership? Give me a freakin’ shovel. No wonder Marco is on the sidelines. He’s nothing but a walking, talking campaign flier.
