Never is there a better example of the new world order in America than this comment site. A real man speaks like a real man. Who could satisfy the whims and fancies of our social-seeking culture of dependency these days without offending the watered down culture of peace at any cost people reading today’s floundering news print media. As the culture weakens, so do the common senses of our people and the power of reason and common ground deflate.

Rooney vacated his current east coast district to run on the west coast, in a sliver of his old district, in order to open up a Treasure Coast district for West to run in. West would have lost in his current district since it shifted to more Democrat voters. And Eve, West is in the House of Reps. They have to run every 2 years, whether they want to or not….

First, Eve needs a civics lesson. Her entire post reveals her ignorance about how the system works.

As far as others talking about results of a Democratic poll versus what they think a GOP poll would tell really confirms one basic fact: Don’t believe polls.

West would be more justified in bragging about his military record if he hadn’t been threatened with court martial. He does it because he has nothing else to brag about. His record of accomplishment is zero unless you count his ability to keep a media spotlight on him by being irresponsible and outrageous.

Hank, how dare you and West complain about how many debates Murphy will agree to. Have you forgotten that West refused to debate his primary opponent even once? Hypocrites!

Eve you’re the one who doesn’t understand it at all. West chose to move districts so he wouldn’t have to run against Rooney in the GOP primary. nothing was dictated by Washington. the Florida legislature drew the new map. West decided which district he wanted to run in.

and your comment about running back to back campaigns. i’m not even sure what you’re talking about. ALL house members are up EVERY two years. it’s in the constitution.

I’m just so glad he won’t be our Representative any more. He knew he had no chance of beating Frankel, so he decided to change districts. Is he still living in Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s District? The man never even lived in our district while he was supposed to represent us. Plus, contrary to his misconception, he is NOT “the incumbent”. He is the carpetbagger from Broward County looking for a safe place to run. Looks like he didn’t find it.
