Weak tea: Allen West ranks 54th of 87 GOP freshmen on one tea party scorecard

West ranks 54th out of 87 freshmen for agreeing with the limited-government, supply-side group’s agenda.
As reported earlier this year, West agreed with the Club For Growth on economic and fiscal issues 64 percent of the time in 2011. That compares to a 71 percent score for the average freshman and a 69 percent score for the average Republican House veteran.
West didn’t go along with all the spending cuts the Club For Growth advocated in 2011 and voted for a debt ceiling increase that angered many tea partiers.

Allen West has no business being a Congressman. Period. He has exhibited nothing but egregiously unprofessional behavior since Day 1. Not only that, but his policies are extreme as well. He wants to help the scammers and gamblers by getting rid of sensible rules for Wall Street and he wants to ELIMINATE the capital gains tax that helps already extremely rich people, like Mitt Romney, pay less than 15% of their income in taxes. Clearly, he is only interested in a big paycheck for himself, the people of Florida be damned.
Patrick Murphy, on the other hand, is a true public servant. He will look out for ALL FLORIDIANS and not just the corporate elite. He also has a dual degree in accounting and finance, so he will be a great person for our area to have representing us. He will be good for business while making sure that the scammers and gamblers have to play by the rules.
It is a clear contrast between someone who sides with the Koch Brothers and Wall Street versus someone who sides with THE PEOPLE and the broader economy.

West has been a terrible representative. Somebody needs to tell him that running his ignorant mouth is not part of the job description for a Congressman. If you write to West, don’t expect anything but an automatic email promising that you will hear from West soon. Whatever soon means? After three months I am still waiting. I guess he only responds to his teabagger friends who send him money. Good riddance Mr. West. Maybe you and your HOT AIR will be appreciated somewhere else, anywhere but here in the 22nd district.

I think you all have missed the point. Or, you’re illiterate. West sucks b/c he’s not conservative enough, not b/c he sides with wall street (google “jp Morgan, Obama”). We need candidates who will actually CUT SPENDING!!! Not just talk about it to get elected. Wake up people. The way to save this union is to cut spending, shrink the federal gov’t, actually read and then follow the literal language of the constitution (which was really only meant to apply to the states anyways), stop sucking from the gov’t tit, and stop butting in everywhere we don’t belong! ABO
