Romney to Gingrich: You’re lying when you say I’m lying
by Jane Musgrave | January 26th, 2012In what has quickly turned into a finger-pointing game of you’re the biggest liar, Mitt Romney responded to Newt Gingrich’s charge that he is “fundamentally dishonest” by insisting that the former House Speaker “can’t tell the truth.”
“Speaker Gingrich has demonstrated that can’t tell the truth about his unprecedented ethics reprimand, his resignation in disgrace at the hands of his own party, and his work as a highly paid Washington lobbyist for Freddie Mac,” Romney spokesman Ryan Williams said shortly after Gingrich blasted the former Massachusetts governor during a morning stop in Mount Dora.
Gingrich accused Romney, a multimillionaire businessman, of holding stock in both Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae and investing in . mortgage-backed securities with Goldman Sachs. The current owners of the mortgage debt are foreclosing on tens of thousands of Floridians.
Gingrich said he couldn’t believe his chief rival in the GOP presidential primary had the “gall” to criticize his $1.6 million consulting contract with Freddie Mac when Romney’s own business ties were so deep and led to so much misery for average citizens.
“There is something so grotesquely hypocritical about the Romney campaign that it is going to meltdown in the next several weeks as Americans learn more about him,” Gingrich said.
Gingrich has insisted he was nothing more than a consultant/historian for Freddie Mack. He has only released one year of a multi-year contract which didn’t illuminate exactly what he did.
Pointing out that Gingrich reported to Freddie Mac’s chief lobbyist, Romney has said Gingrich used the influence he gained as House Speaker to pad his own wallet at the expense of homeowners who later fell victim to Freddie Mac’s bad decisions.

They’re both liars.
Neither can be trusted with the Presidency.

There is no democracy enjoy the magic show. The next election is shaping up to be as big of a sham as the last. Do you know why Sarah Palin’s bus tour was really canceled? Do you know why she stayed 30 miles away from the second debate and chose the death of Steve Jobs to announce that she’s not running? Know what leaked out? Sarah Palin and Cain aren’t in the race for the same reason, the truth leaked out.

I think that we’ve all seen these dynamics play out at an age where our main task in life was to play. In (pre)Kindergarten, that is.
The problems is that even then, the smarter class members would recognize it as being pathetic and childish.
When so-called adults engage in this behaviour, it becomes pathological. Certainly when these so-called adults are aiming for the highest office in the US.
I am young at heart and would not vote for either of the two ‘esteemed’ gentlemen of the GOP, who so clearly demonstrate their being unfit for this mentioned office, so I will leave my opinion classification of their antics at: PATHETIC.

RON PAUL 2012! Dr. Paul is the only honest, smart and honorable candidate in the republican race! I would slam the other 3 but they are not worth my time or my vote…or yours!

It is interesting how Gingrich likes to use phrases that are so fundamentally descriptive of himself when he attacks other candidates. Just how well does he think he’s covered his assets? Walking the legal line is a sham that’s easily seen through. So, first he called John King and the media despicable, and told King “don’t try to blame someone else”. This is funny because the true blame for the true tales of marianne Gingrich lie squarely at Newt’s door. Now, he is being called out on what was obviously lobbying, and calling Romney “grotesquely hypocritical”. It just gets funnier as Newt gets better and better at painting self portraits with words.

Talk about hypocrisy, Newt, you and family values? Do my fellow Americans really want an amoral adulterer and his whoring concubine as president and first lady of our great country?

Talk about hypocrisy Newt. You, family values? Do we really want an amoral adulterer and his mistress as president and first lady of our great country.

Wow, look at the state of our political system? And we laugh at the elections in the Middle East and Venezuela? We are no better than the corrupted lunatics who run in those countries. Where is the honor and dignity of running and holding office? These men and women running for all levels of government have no class nor guilt for the outright lies they tell about each other.
