Gingrich replaces Cain as keynoter for Palm Beach County GOP dinner on Jan. 28

by George Bennett | December 19th, 2011

Gingrich

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich will replace Herman Cain as the keynote speaker at the Palm Beach County Republican Party’s Jan. 28 Lincoln Day dinner — three days before Florida’s high-stakes presidential primary.

The local GOP thought it scored a major coup in October when it booked the surging Cain for the $195-a-plate event. Cain suspended his campaign a couple weeks ago.

Gingrich is the current GOP frontrunner in Florida and most national polls — but so was Rudy Giuliani in December 2007.

It’ll be the second year in a row that Gingrich has been the local party’s Lincoln Day speaker. He headlined the Feb. 24 GOP dinner when he was on the verge of entering the race.

Gingrich is also slated to appear at a brunch for the Martin County GOP earlier in the day on Jan. 28.

Newt? Really? You want to know why the American People dont take Republicans seriously? Cain, wasnt me, fake, fraud and phony..Newt, more baggage than BILL FREAKING CLINTON and yet the RNC is gonna hold him up as our beacon of hope. We are so screwed. Men, hide your ladies! (WhoTF) names their kid Newt? This guy is a DISASTER! Please RNC, give me a TRUE CONSERVATIVE who isnt a freaking RW nutjob that I CAN vote for. So far, all I see is failures, cept Perry, who scares me.

  2. Tom Says:

With brunch in Martin County and dinner in Palm Beach County, hopefully the Newtster will be able to button his suitcoat.

  3. Who Cares!!! Says:

No worries for me, Newt will NOT be the Republican nominee. His baggage is already weighing him down. Almost laughable that this guy is the great hope for a select few in the Republican party. Cooler minds will prevail and nominate a ‘more decent human being’ than Newt. We just might see a viable third party candidate appear. Let’s hope our choices are better come election time than currently being offered.

this newt is not going to beat obama in an election.he has sat side by side with nancy pelosi on that global warming horse poop, and took money from freddie mac, newt goes where the wind blows,if there is a buck newt goes with that program etc.i believe romney would be a better choice.

  5. LOL Says:

The election nears and they still don’t know who’s on first.

    Obama ’12

  6. Ruby Says:

Well kiss a Republican President good-bye for 2012. Instead of Newt they should have atleast tried to get Romney.
The Republians still can’t figure themselves out, but as an Independent who wouldn’t vote for Obama-then sitting the next election out is my only alternative. The Republicans are a sad sack of losers. One is worse than another. After all this time-this is what they have to show…well they don’t deserve to win.

First of all- who wants to see this guy eat? The mere thought of it makes me want to throw up in my mouth!

  8. Same Ole, Same Ole Says:

In the last several decades of increasing political deceit, Obama is the last straw.

He is so beyond-belief inept and incompetent.

There is though a big positive:

He has awaken millions of normal people comfortably relying on tradition, and who have gone about their lives paying too little attention to the festering sores (wall street, special interest lobbyists, general political sleaze and corruption, etc.) controlling and growing the socialist/fascist cancer in Washington.

2012 is the new dramatic and radical awakening . . . the real positive change for these good honest and productive milch cows . . . who have traditionally and quietly supported and enjoyed all the benefits of living in our country and who ain’t gonna take it any more.

Who they shall vote for is a big question?

From what I read and hear, most are totally and unilaterally joined by the avowed pledge: “ANYONE BUT OBAMA . . . first, then no other traditional equally corrupt politician to replace him.”

It is going to be interesting.

  9. jenn Says:

Wasn’t he the speaker last year? I guess you can’t get anyone new?

  10. Downtown Danny Says:

    THE SERIAL ADULTERER IS COMING!
Get ready for self-righteous tales of greatness from the fat man himself –
His wife will be taking hair spray donations for her dome –
He will tell you of poor children cleaning the toilets in the school they attend to “help them”
He will tell you of calling judges before Congress that make decision he doesn’t like
He will tell of his plan to let Social Security “whither on the vine” and disappear
He will tell you of his plan to privatize every prison in America throwing out the “unions” while his pals get fat government contracts to now run all prisons – good luck in the can if these guys don’t like you
    And so much more!
Make sure you bring your checkbook cus the Newt needs cash for his cause of staying on the road eating & living free while running his lying trap for morons who listen
IT’S OBAMA IN A LANDSLIDE IF NEWT IS THE NOMINEE

The whole thing sounds like a perfect recipe for indigestion.

    Bring the Tums.

Hope that delusional Sid Dinerstein gets heartburn!
