But his campaign also spent a hefty $1.4 million during the quarter, much of it on the machinery of his direct-mail fundraising effort.
West switched direct-mail consultants from a firm called Base Connect to one called Response America, which received $132,609 in the quarter. He paid vendor Capitol Hill Lists $164,312 for list rental, paid Vertis Communications $229,115 for direct-mail services and paid Southwest Publishing and Mailing another $111,954 for direct-mail-related services.
West’s campaign spent $85,327 on postage during the quarter. He also spent $75,801 for online advertising.
“We’re taking steps to make sure that we have the resources for us to run this race,” West chief of staff Jonathan Blyth said. He noted that West has amassed a list of more than 50,000 donors, most of them small contributors who can be tapped again.
Overall, West has raised more than $4.1 million for his 2012 campaign and has more than $1.8 million cash on hand.

Mr. West, When I heard your comments and answers from questions directed at you by the media interviews, I though to myself that you are very concise and to the point and with much wisdom. I hope and pray you continue this practice and move forward with the defeat all the contenders/candidates for the 2012 election.

Thank goodness America still produces a few men like Allen West. And thank goodness Americans still recognize these men as leaders we want to follow, as evidenced by the sheer amount of contributions sent to him. Anyone who opposes Rep. West is probably a racist who think all blacks must maintain an “acceptable” postur on what Herman Cain calls the Democrat Plantation. Go, Allen, go! America needs you,

He is able to raise large money because the people appreciate his candor, and agree with his policies.

Interesting figures which can be interpreted a couple of ways, depending on your political ideology. The man is raising a lot of cash and spending it, and hiring outside firms to help him with it. Doesn’t seem to be much of a story there. I can’t recall ever seeing a Palm Beach Post story on how much Col. West’s House of Representatives predecessor (Democrat Ron Klein) paid for his campaign, or which firm he hired to help him with it.

All during the last presidential campaign I was made to feel that if I didn’t embrace then-candidate Obama and his “Hope and Change” mantra, that I was some sort of a racist. Now all I hear from the same people is that my support of Herman Cain and Allen West is just “tea party” ignorant. Well, I guess I missed the memo all my liberal friends received … you know, the one that says it’s okay to rip on these two black candidates.

I just hope and pray the option to West isnt Frankel. They are both disingenuious clods IMHO and I wouldnt vote for either of them. West is a disgraced Vet who was ALLOWED to resign and save his pension and Frankel screwed up WPB. We need representatives, not clowns.

Where did the money come from? Who donated those $4.1 million dollars? What do they expect in return from West after he’s re-elected?
I find it hilarious this guy can rake in $4.1M in Florida alone. You get a presidential candidate like Ron Paul, who has an army of followers across the entire country, and he struggled to find 500K in donations because he refused money from corporations.
This is more than 8x that amount and in one state alone. West is obviously a crook.
