Wasserman Schultz comes to Obama’s defense — he’ll win Florida, she tells FOX

by John Kennedy | September 22nd, 2011

With a new poll Wednesday showing Barack Obama‘s popularity in Florida melting like ice on a July day, Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz took to the airwaves in his defense.

On the same day a Quinnipiac University poll showed Floridians disapproving of his performance as president, 57-39 percent, Wasserman Schultz, a South Florida congresswoman, offered a Joe Namath-like guarantee that Florida will remain in Obama’s camp.

“Barack Obama will take my home state of Florida again,”  Wasserman Schultz assured on Fox News Channel’s Fox & Friends.  She added, “we need the Republicans to stop allowing themselves to be controlled by the extremists in the Tea Party.”

Obama’s popularity in the Sunshine State reached the lowest mark of his presidency in the latest Quinnipiac poll, which as recently as late May found the president drawing a 51-43 percent approval rating from Florida.

Just like unemployment would never go above 8% if we passed the Stimulus.

  2. Michael-David Says:

President “ZERO” is on the way OUT…..

  3. Nobama Says:

Not with my vote will Obama win Florida.

His policy, the lack of movement by the Senate have had an impact on my savings.

It is also my hope that Senator Bill Nelson will also be defeated so that the senate will be taken out of Harry Reid’s hands.

Time to unseat Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Time for her district to get new latino representation.

  4. Charles Says:

Not with my vote will any of the current long list of Republicans win Florida. Can’t the Republican Party do better than this?

  5. Hans Says:

You tell them Debbie! Why can’t we cart all these tea party people to extermination camps to peel their skin off for lampshades? Really, I mean I’m sitting here with one these flourescent bulbs and no lampshade, and getting mild eyestrain already.

  6. DWS LOSER Says:

That’s exactly what I would want if I were Obama.Debbie Wasserman Schultz to come to my defense. Please don’t do me any favors.

  7. mike Says:

This experiment with on the job training for a president has to end next November. Not crazy about all this CHANGE with no HOPE in site. He’s not that BRILLIANT.

  8. 2012 - The End of an Error Says:

DWS continues to demonstate just how totally clueless she is.

Obama may not be finished destroying the country by next November, but he’ll most certainly not be reelected. Nobody in their right mind could look around at our rapidly declining nation, and then go vote for more of the same.

  9. RENEGADE Says:

    @2012-The end of an error,

Of course we wouldn’t vote for more of the same. We intend to give the GOP the boot in the house so Obama will have some real statesmen and americans to work with.

  10. Same Old, Same Old Says:

    Extremism!

Since when (in the formerly very successful United States) are the desires for small government, fiscal responsibility, free markets and love for liberty extreme?

Which of those ideas do you find harmful and unrealistic?
