Meek nominated for UN post
by John Kennedy | July 11th, 2011Former Miami U.S. Rep. Kendrick Meek, who lost a Senate bid last fall to Republican Marco Rubio, was nominated Monday by President Obama to serve as a representative to the U.N. General Assembly.
Meek was among three officials put forward by Obama. Since leaving Congress in January, Meek has been president of KBM Solutions, a consulting firm for disaster relief, and editorial chairman of Politic365, an online news site for policy and politics.

Seriously? I thought Obama was a fan of the UN, but this appointment is nothing but political payoff. Where are the credentials?

This is an incredible story! One of those “truth is stranger that fiction” kind of stories. This guy who, after being routed in the election when the voters told him in no uncertain terms that he needed to find a new line of work, enters the private sector and is a complete failure in the REAL WORLD, so he has to call in a favor from his “PREZ DADDY” so he can make the payments on his Mercedes! AMERICA! WHAT A COUNTRY!

This is the guy who got our class size amendment passed. The amendment that has stayed PASSED in spite of all you freaking repubs who hate it. He actually walked accross the whole state of Fl. and got signatures on petitions in order to run for the Senate. Unlike your hero, Rubio. He is for the regular people. Unlike Rubio…who gets his money from wealthy interests. The Obama Whitehouse is saving your butt. Never forget it.

Nothing in Meek’s background qualifies him for such a nomination. But for his Mommy and the truly clueless voters in his former congressional district, this man is working as a mall cop.
