Tea party leader on $6,000 bill from Boca: ‘We’re working on paying it’
by George Bennett | June 13th, 2011
With the city of Boca Raton saying the South Florida Tea Party owes more than $6,000 for police and barricades used at an April Donald Trump rally, South Florida Tea Party Chairman Everett Wilkinson says his group is seeking clarification for some of the charges and will come up with whatever it owes.
“We’re working on paying it,” Wilkinson says. “We don’t have the money right now, but we’re good at paying our bills.”
Read about it in this week’s Politics column (second item).

These people are a joke. They want the government to stop speding money but they obviously do not realize that EVERYTHING takes money. EVERYTHING. Got a problem with that? Move to a communist country. Jerks.

True to form for donald trump. This is a great example of t-party politics “dont pay your bill” Thats how you remain fiscally responsible.

The tea party state that they demand government to be fiscally conservative. They stress fiscal responsibility in government and personal lives.
This Wilkinson is a joke to their movement and it suits me just fine if they plaster his face all over the news as poster child as what a tea party member IS NOT! He is a disgrace and should remove himself from his local leadership as he has them on the hook for over $6K.

South Florida Tea Party Patriots are not typical of most “tea party” and grassroots groups. They’re run by a self-serving, publicity monger- Everett Wilkinson.
Other Tea Party Groups like the Ft. Lauderdale Tea Party want nothing to do with him and actually have a disclaimer on their website to make sure people know that Wilkinson doesn’t speak for, or represent them.
This has nothing to do with Trump. He was a guest of SFTPP. They’re responsible for the bill, not Trump.

Everett Wilkinson does not represent the grassroots movement. He needs to step aside and let the true tea party people run the organization. No wonder other groups disclaim any association with his group. And, if he truly represented us in a negative fashion in Tallahassee as not supporting e-veriy, then he should step down – Everett, this is not about you, it never has been. How can you do an event with no money. In the fiscally responsible real world, the backer of the event would be responsible to pay.

Tea partiers say one thing, do another. Unfortunate that they cannot be more like the original tea party…

When is everyone going to INSIST that Everett be REMOVED from the Tea Party??!! The SFTP still operates under him using others in the forefront! I support the Tea Party but not here!
