A glimpse into the GOP’s internal rift over illegal immigration
by George Bennett | June 27th, 2011Dinerstein laments the GOP-controlled Florida legislature’s failure to pass an “E-Verify” bill requiring businesses to use a federal database to check on in the immigration status of workers. While Dinerstein is part of a large contingent of Republicans who favor E-Verify as a way to crack down on illegal immigrants, others in the party view the system as a government intrusion that raises costs and enlists businesses as immigration police.
The latter sentiment had enough supporters among Republican legislators to thwart the bill Dinerstein and other Republicans favored. Says Dinerstein: “From my vantage point as a Republican Party official I can truly say that our recent performance in Tallahassee on this issue did not make me proud.”

If businesses continue to choose to violate the law, then they should incur the costs… And if JD Alexander wants to continue to employ illegals, then he should be fined.

JD is a lawbreaker.
JD should offer higher pay to get the workers he needs. Perhaps he should offer a generous benefit and retirement program so he can have more long term, or returning employees. For people like JD to say they have to hire undocumented aliens to pick crops because (with 13% unemployment) they can’t get workers, is outrageous. He needs to pay better and recruit where there are workers.

Just goes to show our politicians care more about illegals than LEGAL citizens. They continue to pander and play both sides of immigration coin, while millions of criminals are allowed to roam free. I don’t know why it is so hard for them to make sure our laws are enforced. Those who side with the criminals need to be voted out of office, as they are traitors to this country and their constituents.

In an article about J. D Alexander’s business operations, it says that he already uses E-verify. It also says that e-verify has a huge error rate, where it mistakes legals for illegals and vice versa. Also, even when using e-verify, it is still difficult to find seasonal workers. Americans want full-time jobs with benefits. Also, I believe South Carolina’s new immigration program exempts agriculture.

And who put JD Alexander in charge? Mike Haridopolos. Anybody but Haridopolos to defeat Bill Nelson!!!

Tax payers are fed up with paying for illegals. E-verify should be nation wide. I will not vote for anyone who does not support e-verify and sending illegals home.

The Chairman is being disingenuous at best here. He knows exactly why E-Verify didn’t pass. Senate President & US Senate candidate Mike Haridopolos didn’t put the necessary pressure on his members.
He didn’t do that because he’s being supported by the Chamber of Commerce & BIZ PAC chairman John R. Smith, as well as, Jack Furnari, both former PBC REC Board members & Dinerstein’s friends & allies. That’s why Dinerstein won’t call Haridopolos out for what’s his failure. Haridopolos musn’t goto DC.

Sid is an old, useless, senile old bitter man who has no clue, can not raise any money and can not win any elections. He can’t catch up to the present. With Sid at the helm and friends like Smith and Furnari, democrats have nothing to fear and will continue to dominate palm beach county.

Sid cant even win the Lk Worth Mayor race with a previous mayor. Way to go jack and bizPac for all the help there. The three of them probably had a democrat they were pushing in that race. I wonder how much help Sid’s leadership was there. The results speak for themselves.
