Can you spell “rainmaker?” Bud Chiles had the class to go ply his trade elsewhere when his father got elected. Oh, yeah, right. I forgot. Lawton wasn’t so crooked his OWN company threw him under the bus.

First, she did not work for Kay Bailey Hutchinson, she was an unpaid volunteer. Big difference.
Second, she has been working in this field to some extent for a while so it is not unreasonable for her to take this position.
Third, Amy Brown who was in charge of Harris Media in Florida is about the same age as Mrs. Guimard and no doubt they have a lot in common so it will be a good fit.
Finally, think you can find something just a little more important to report on than the personal life of the governor’s daughter?

This is a “little more important” than the governor’s daughter. And this has nothing to do with her “personal life.” This is a favor for a favor. This is the wealthy looking out for the wealthy. This is using your political influence to benefit your own family and supporters. The real question is when did the gov’s daughter initially apply for a position with this company? Also, if the gov’s daughter is so qualified in this field, why wouldn’t she choose another company so as to not appear as political payback? Finally, as an “unpaid volunteer” with Sen. Hutchison, she certainly made a giant leap to vice-president of marketing and development. That’s huge! I wonder if you or I could achieve such a promotion as this?

Looks like Gov is leading the past governors of Florida in graft already. Daughter getting high paying job for which it appears she is unqualified. 23 year old getting high paying job at Dept of State when experience is digging up dirt on Scott’s opponients, putting St, Joes in charge of development. Braggs that his rules, or lack thereof, will bring big out of state deveopers here. I don’t know about you but I was sort of hoping for local developers to get jobs. By the way anyone who thinks we don’t have enough developments already needs to spend a few days driving the state, looking at empty houses and empty towns that are already approved. maybe Scott could look down from his plane while he is tooling around.
