Capital city inaugural festivities kick off with salute to women

by Dara Kam | January 3rd, 2011

Gov.-elect Rick Scott‘s Tallahassee inaugural fete kicked off this morning with a breakfast honoring women starring FOX News anchor Greta Van Susteren. Scott will be sworn in as Florida’s 45th governor tomorrow morning.

This morning’s breakfast is a salute to two female elected officials who made history this year – Lt. Gov.-elect Jennifer Carroll, the first black official elected statewide, and Attorney General-elect Pam Bondi, the first woman AG.

The Florida Channel is streaming the breakfast live at http://www.wfsu.org/flashwebcasts/web7.php.
