Scott stumps in WPB one day before election

by Dara Kam | November 1st, 2010

Just one day before the crucial vote that will decide whether his $75 million investment paid off, Rick Scott included West Palm Beach in a last-minute appeal to Republicans.

U.S. Sen. George LeMieux climbed on the stage with Scott, also joined by Palm Beach County homeboys U.S. Rep. Tom Rooney, outgoing Senate president and chief financial officer candidate Jeff Atwater, and a host of other local officials.

Mark Foley, who once held Rooney’s Congressional seat, also showed up in the crowd at Park Avenue BBQ Grille.

PBC businessman and longtime GOP donor Llywd Ecclestone, who escaped the restaurant parking lot heat under an awning, said he supports Scott’s plan to get the state’s economy back on track.

“He will create jobs and that’s what we need,” Ecclestone said.

But Scott’s pledge of 700,000 jobs is an ambitious goal, the developer acknowledged.

“It’s going to be difficult. It’s not going to be easy,” Ecclestone said.

Before the Park Avenue event, Scott’s convoy made a Starbucks pit stop – one of several throughout the week-long trip – to load up on lunches.

The coffee shop is right next door to a Solantic urgent care clinic. The health care chain is part of Scott’s vast fortune.

Oh Puleeeze. Gimme a break. Scott should be in Jail, not running for office buthow appropriate he’d be in PB County

  2. Be Nice Says:

    Can you say Governor Scott!!

  3. DUNE DAWG Says:

The usual PBP bitter rabid progressive lefties inserting their deomonizing pergoratives:

    “…his $75 million investment…”

“…a Solantic urgent care clinic. The health care chain is part of Scott’s vast fortune…”

Meantime not one word of the Alex Sink, CEO of Bank of America,FL and the hundreds of thousands of NINJA loans now being foreclosed, shuttled at the back door to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, supported with fraudulent property appraisals (what was the contract price??)….

And nothing on Alex Sink’s CFO accomplishments the last four years — NONE!!

As ususal, we get nothing from the PBP but more bankrupt NYT wannabe Marxist propaganda psychobabble…with no journalistic integrity nor honor, but the usual YELLOWDOG JOURNALISM!!

  4. PalmBeachBabe Says:

Dune Dawg you are moronic as usual. Did you notice that one reporter reports on Sink and one of them on Scott? Typical right wing mindless nut.

I remember very clearly when Rick Scott’s gang were escorted out of Fawcett Hospital in handcuffs. I suppose that’s why he had his mother and wife vouch for him. No former business associates would even go near him again. Scott is a crook and if people vote for him they will get what they deserve. The problem is – we all get it! If I said that I would produce 10,000 jobs and I have a clean work history, would you vote for me? I have NEVER had to plead the fifth in my life. Why on earth would anybody in their right mind vote for this weasel? He is simply another teabagger token hiding behind paraphrases and coined slogans while refusing to answer any solid questions. Pitiful!
