First on Guv-elect Scott’s to-do list? Starbucks!

by Dara Kam | November 3rd, 2010

It’s no secret Florida’s new governor Rick Scott loves Starbucks.

While traveling throughout the state on a week-long bus tour, Scott’s convoy frequently made unscheduled stops at the coffee chain for quick pick-me-ups for Scott, his wife Ann and their two daughters.

The exuberant Scott surprised caffeine lovers at a Starbucks located a convenient two blocks away from the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina that’s turned into Scott’s post-election HQ for at least a few days.

“Hey look! That’s the guy who’s running for governor!” one of the workers behind the counter said as an exuberant Scott, accompanied by an FDLE agent, bounced into the cafe just a few hours after making his victory speech at the hotel.

Scott ordered his customary Chai tea latte (unsweetened) then posed for pictures with workers but at least one customer was unfazed by the new governor’s appearance.

“Who is that guy?” he asked, barely glancing up from his computer.

The young man, who did not give his name, is from England, and had apparently news about the overnight delay in the outcome of the governor’s election.

Scott will make an announcement about his transition team at the Hilton at 9 a.m. tomorrow morning.

I didn’t think it was a slow news day.

One would think the “Post” could print something newsworthy like the $200 million cost to taxpayers each day for Obama and his Cronies trip to India; for what purpose?

How many winners did the “Post” pick in yesterday’s election? One would think their editorial board would get the message that they are delusional in their collectivist agenda and the reason for their continuing reader decline and operating losses is obvious.

Notice to all Floridians who voted for Scott in opposition to PRESIDENT OBAMA because he’s African American: If something happens to Scott during his term as the Governor of Florida, please keep in mind that your Governor in waiting will be an African American Female Immigrant

Wow, Centry21, you still playing that tired old race card? Thought that thing would be worn out by now.

  5. Lets Get To Werk Says:

Gov ~ You want to help get the government off the backs of the people you can start by condeming SB 550 the bill the drunks and drug addicts attached in the midnight hour that will require every septic tank in Florida to be pumped and inspected every 5 years! Will authorize unscruplous hootlums to enter private property and scam little widow women and if they refuse access its a misdeaneanor crime and they will go to jail and pay daily fines and have their power cut off and on and on! Repeal this nightmare attack on the public!!!!

  6. East Coast Liberal Says:

Even if there are 10 million voters in Florida, Scott could have saved a whopping $60+ million of his own money. Just buy every vote for $1million. Not so smart with your dough. What are you going to do with ours? It’s terrifying.

  7. Valerie Says:

@East Coast Liberal, math isn’t your strong point, is it. Let me guess….you attended public school.

  8. Cathy Says:

Yeah! Now we have a crook as a governor! Yeah! He’ll probably steal from us the way he did Medicare and Medicaid. Does anybody remember what this man did? Anybody?
