Democratic Rep. Klein releases another TV ad blasting GOP challenger West
by George Bennett | September 6th, 2010U.S. Rep. Ron Klein, D-Boca Raton, has released his second TV spot — another attack on Republican challenger Allen West’s handling of his personal finances.
“Even with a six-figure income, Allen West has a long history of refusing to pay taxes and bills,” the narrator says. The six-figure income claim is based on financial disclosure reports West filed for 2008 and 2009. But most of the “long history” cited in the ad occurred before 2008.
As in Klein’s Aug. 24 debut ad, the new ad mentions an $11,081 tax lien filed against West in 2005 and paid off in 2006. West’s campaign manager initially said he would prove the lien was issued in error, then said he “spoke a little too soon as far as having all the documents.”
The new ad also mentions five liens totaling $3,232 for homeowner association maintenance fees (court records show four were released; West’s campaign says it has also paid off the other $612 lien, although no release is on file in Broward County).
And the ad refers to a 2006 default judgment ordering West to pay $5,541 to American Express. West said in March that he had paid off the American Express bill more than a year ago.
West said in an Aug. 26 statement that “my family has struggled with financial hardship” and has “honestly resolved every issue.”

The insidious liberals are nothing but a bunch suck butt fools! We need to lower our spending by preventing the poverty pimps from from giving handouts and enabling the 21st century plantation. We must also abolish the Department of Education, Department of Energy, and the IRS. Once LTC West is in the Oval Office, this constitutional republic will again be operating with a budget surplus, like we were when President Clinton left office.
Speaking of our neighbors, I love living in the same community as Colonel West. Well actually I live in an adjacent community, I happen to live in Florida’s 22nd congressional district. Nevertheless, as a good neighbor should, the patriotic, personally-responsible, and heroic West is always sure to settle each and every lien filed against his home by listening to the expert advice of his wife who is a PhD and a financial planner (I need to hire her to do my finances).
The narcissism of people to claim that they practice personal responsible yet fail to settle their liens truly incenses me — almost as much as those “coexist” bumper stickers. The gall of such individuals illustrates their lack of extreme devotion to this great nation in which we live. Allen West on the other hand has been able to settle multiple liens!

Allen West has jumped out of airplanes while being shot at in the middle of the night, he most certainly is not afraid of rat-sized dogs (just like he is not afraid of 23 year old grandchildren of Holocaust survivors either). I know Josh Grodin says that Colonel West fears for his safety and leaving his home with his family because there may be a video camera somewhere out in that big scary 20th Congressional District but that is NOT TRUE…but if he is not scared, I wonder why he spends so much time in Florida’s 22nd and outside the state of Florida (he was in Levinworth, Kansas all weekend). Things must be much safer outside his home district. His military instincts are most certainly keeping him safe.
If he is scared, maybe he intentionally stopped paying his taxes so he can get evicted and move elsewhere….no he is afraid of nothing!
It is Colonel West’s bravery in the face of such imminent danger that allows him to take on the liberal socialist agenda of Barack Hussein Obama. He cannot address real issues like the $13 TRILLION debt he helped create, the $787 BILLION stimulus package he voted for and by the way is not working, the $1 TRILLION Health Care Bill he voted for or his close association with Nancy Pelosi. I am an Iraq/Afghanistan Vet and I too had problems getting bills paid from half way around the world in a combat zone. Give me a break, Ron Klein is the biggest sissy, he has never worn the uniform of our nation and put his life at risk for anybody or anything. Let’s talk about re-framing the debate shall we?
1) Allen West won’t talk about his policies with independents. His ads talk nothing about his love of privatizing social security and getting rid of the Department of Energy.
2) West in the pocket of big oil. When asked if he would end off-shore oil drilling off the Florida coast he said we should continue to drill. I guess he forgot about that big oil slick in the gulf.
3) The man talks about personal responsibility yet can’t get his own house in order. I am not going to vote for a man who is in essence a hypocritical liar. Why can’t he be honest?
4) Hates the middle class. Wants to implement a “fair tax” which is fair to the rich in our nations. I know I love to pay a 30 percent tax for a can of coke or when I school supplies.

It really sickens me to see people in our congressional district who support someone with the maturity of a 5-year old.

Saying that you will whoop someone’s butt and make someone pay because they like someone else more than you (like the PBP endorsing Brady): something my 5-year old would do.

Allen West should be commended for his service, but, for someone who constantly harps on the private sector and the economy, has Allen West ever created a single job? No.
How can someone who has no idea how to create jobs and can’t manage his own finances be trusted to lead us out of this recession? Allen West has no answers, and his past doesn’t suggest he will ever come up with any.

I remember reading a statistic that said that the majority of people who are successful at a business, also had a failed business in their past. Does this mean that any of THOSE people will NEVER be able to run for Congress?

Job Creator, it’s not Government’s responsibility to create Jobs, it’s that kind of thinking that has gotten us into the Mess that we’re in right now.
What we need are people in Government who know that Government needs to be limited, and off our backs. Once the straight jacket of High taxes and excessive regulations are taken off small businesses around the country will begin hiring again.
As along as we’re in this era of uncertainty, where businesses have no idea what the government will do next, it will keep business from moving forward.

Klein has a new ad out in regards of West taking up arms against the government. As a West supporter I love it. I want to thank the Klein campaign for the ad – for not getting that the context they are paying for is the exact sentiments of the people.
