Aaronson on latest colleague-turned-felon: ‘There was nothing to clean up’
by George Bennett | August 13th, 2010
Palm Beach County Commissioner Burt Aaronson was on a cruise last week when Jeff Koons became the fourth commissioner in four years to plead guilty to a felony charge.
His reaction? Outrage.
“I leave this damn city for one week and all hell breaks loose,” Aaronson said at Thursday’s Tourist Development Council meeting. “In my opinion, there was nothing to clean up.”

When you swim in polluted waters you can’t see things clearly.
Those who have been in office for many years fail to recognize improper, illegal behavior.
They make excuses. This isn’t about Koons’ likeability and other work, this is about breaking the law, pleading guilty and accepting punishment.
It is worrisome when elected leaders can’t see the forest through the trees.
An other commissioner has stated there is a problem with commissioners who think they are all powerful.
Do believe Aaronson is one of those.
We’ve got two more years of Aaronson. Do hope the Ethics Committee fully investigates him.

Aaronson needs to be the next to go down with Wexler, Deutch, Slosberg, Sachs, Aburzzo..then we can all go back to real government.
