Will Jeff Greene release his tax returns? ‘Hell no,’ wife says
by Michael C. Bender | June 22nd, 2010
Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Jeff Greene criticized primary opponent Kendrick Meek for taking campaign contributions from “special interests,” but says he won’t release his tax returns that would show which of those same companies he might have invested in.
“Talk to my wife,” Greene said after the debate today. “I made a commitment to my wife when I got in this race that I would not provide tax returns. We’re very concerned about privacy and security and it’s not something we’re willing to do.”
As chance would have it, Greene’s wife, Mei Sze Chan, was standing next to him when he said that. So a reporter asked her.
“Hell no,” she said. “He promised me.”

“I made a commitment to my wife when I got in this race that I would not provide tax returns”
So, what does this carpet bagger from California have to hide from we residents of FloriDuh? Go back to La-La land Scott, you’re trying to ‘buy’ a Senate seat here.

i guess i get where she’s coming from. just because your husband decides to run doesn’t mean your whole family’s privacy should get destroyed. what matters is what his campaign spends and takes in, and that’s all public.

I think anyone who wants to run for public office needs to disclose what his interests/earnings/investments show, as conflict of interest seems to be a common thread in the political arena. He should not have thrown his hat into the ring if he is that controlled by his wife- “security” my butt- what are they hiding? They should have filed separate tax returns.

If someone is running for public office, the public has a right to know anything and everything about them. Tax returns can reveal alot about their connections and exactly what they made, or said they made in income.
What do they have to hide?
If he cant’t show me what he earned and how he earned it then he doesn’t earn my vote.

The guy should be in prison for all the Fannie Mae loans he defrauded the system into loaning himmoney on substandard property. He recieved millions of dollars from Fannie Mae to place his bet on wall street. He could care less about the so called jobs he created. Even with all the money he has made he still doesn’t pay his workers or bring his properties up to code. Heis such a degenerate that he is using his wife and his mother to cover up his illegal activity.
