Specter’s loss in Pennsylvania has Rubio camp pushing Crist parallels
by George Bennett | May 18th, 2010Specter was defeated in today’s Pennsylvania Democratic primary. And Florida Republican Marco Rubio’s Senate campaign is saying that bodes ill for Republican-turned-independent Crist.
Says Rubio campaign spokesman Alex Burgos: “Tonight, voters in Pennsylvania made a clear and unequivocal statement that the American people are tired of the crass political opportunism that puts saying and doing anything to win an election above all else. Whether they live in Pennsylvania or Florida, the American people are rejecting politicians like Arlen Specter and Charlie Crist who stand for nothing but their own political self-interest.”
“Voters in Florida want leaders like Marco Rubio, the only candidate in this election that they can trust to go to Washington, stand up for their values and offer a clear alternative to the policies that are taking our country in the wrong direction.”

NUFF SAID!

Rubio doesn’t have to worry about Crist. Based on recent polls, it’s Kendrick Meek that needs to worry about Crist. Pro-business and moderate Democrats are forming the base of Crist’s “new” campaign and it’s leaving Meek with about 15% of the vote.

Bottom line is this: Rubio is a crook. Charlie is not.

How dare Charlie Crist side with the people and not a political party that’s been taken over by extremists!

Mr. Burgos was talking about Rubio, not Crist. Mr. Rubio favored the Arizona Inmigration Law, but when his boss Jeb Bush told him it was a bad move that could alienate Miami Latin block, he recanted and blasted Arizona Legislature. If this is not political oportunism I am Darth Vader.

How about looking into Rubio giving Florida taxpayer millions of dollars to F.I.U? And then becoming an advisor for $69,000 a year. And why the republican legislature would not bring ethics charges? The toll road deal? Plus other deals valued in the millions? Plenty of corruption there for you guys to tackle.

Maybe Rubio is not perfect but, he couldn’t hold a candle for CharLIE.
CharLIE’s string of corrupt deals and bodies under the bus because they don’t support his corruption reaches the length of the state. What does he stand for? Hell, he don’t even know if he’s male or female! On the rest of the issue’s he has to wait to hear the polls. He’ll go the way of Arlen Spector.

Rubio’s supporters forget that Rubio is spending “Bush” money and that makes him part of the ultra-rich “status quo”. That’s the epitome of what the American public is trying to get rid of. Rubio and McCollum should form a speakers club known for saying “what they think the voters want to hear” even though they are totally out of touch!

Rather than criticizing Crist, voters should respect him for seeing what the Republican party has become and support him for doing the right thing.
With the Republican “loyalty requirements”, it is obvious that the people come second and that the party is first. There is no place for someone who can think in the Republican party.
Fortunately Crist can think and should be supported for doing the right thing for Floridians- he has their best interests in mind.

They both are crooks and so are the DUMBOCRATS IN THE RACE. WAKE UP LOSERS!

It is inappropriate to equate Crist with Specter. Gov. Crist put politics second to doing what was right for Florida. Disagree with him being “conservative” enough but he worked for the state. Specter was an opportunist. By supporting populist programs he “bought” votes to maintain his job. Adios.

Carl Sandberg famed American author and poet said, “A liar needs a good memory”!
Charlie seemed to forget?? That President Oboma was in Florida for the dedication of the solar plant at Arcadia? Twenty four e-mails were sent to him, he denied that he knew the President would be in Florida. You might expect that from a man who took the FL Bar 4 (four) times before he passed it!
He started the FL Commission on PUBLIC RECORDS to help his image with the press and did not support one piece of legislation.
CHRIS WALLACE, HOST, “FOX NEWS SUNDAY,” MARCH 28: Here is your chance to dispel all the rumors. Are you willing to pledge right here, right now that you will run in the Republican primary for the U.S. Senate and not run as an independent?
GOVERNOR CHARLIE CRIST, R-FLA.: I’m running as a Republican in November.
WALLACE: Are you ruling out that you will file as an independent by the April 30th deadline?
CRIST: That’s right. That’s right. I’m running as a Republican.
WALLACE: You will run, not for governor, you’ll run for Senate and you will run as a — in the Republican primary?
CRIST: Chris, I’m running for the United States Senate. I know that our country needs help. I’m running as a Republican.
WALLACE: Will you support the winner of the GOP primary whether it’s you or Marco Rubio?
CRIST: Of course I will. Of course I will.
The Governor said he would support the Republican nominee. Yet he runs as an Independent
Charlie only cares about Charlie and it shows!
His meager political non-career is over.

There is one WALDO in FL; olde ultra-liberal and brain damaged!

Not at all the same thing. First off Crist is not claiming to be a Democrat. Second Christ is not being supported by either Major Party. Crist is in touch with what the people of Florida want from government, Rubio is in touch with what a few extremists want from government.
If the Republican Party had supported Charlie Crist he would have walked right into the office. But since he had the backbone to stand up and do the right thing for Florida on several occasions, the extremists pushed him out. Now this is anybodies race…

Can’t blame the democrats for not voting for Specter. He’s a flip flopper who could turn on them.
Crist won’t even return republican donations. That’s just plain wrong.
I hope Crist is sued for those donations.

Let’s face it folks, the only reason why Crist changed party affiliation was to try to get elected. He’s in it for himself and “sevring the people” is progressive bovine manure.
