Rubio, Meek take turns defining Charlie Crist

by George Bennett | May 10th, 2010

Is Charlie Crist a Harry Reid Democrat? A Ronald Reagan Republican? Depends on who’s labeling him.

Republican Senate hopeful Marco Rubio’s campaign is making much of this Wall Street Journal report that Democratic Senate Leader Harry Reid phoned Republican-turned-indie Gov. Charlie Crist last week in a possible “sign of cooperation” between Crist and Dems.

Democratic Senate candidate Kendrick Meek’s campaign, meanwhile, pointed to this three-month old NewsMax.com article in which Crist, then competing for the GOP primary nomination, called himself “anti-tax, pro-life, pro-gun Republican” and invoked Ronald Reagan a couple times.

Expect a lot more of this in the months to come. Rubio’s camp wants Crist to divide the Democratic vote. Meek’s team wants Crist to split Republicans.

LOL, somebody needs to do it cause Charlie sure can’t define himself.
LETS GET THIS STRAIGHT, DEMS ARE NOT BACKING CRIST. Rubio looses no matter what so there is no reason for Dems to support Crist. The rumors fueled by a desperate campaign looking for an ally anywhere they can find one is ridiculous and continued speculation makes the media look foolish.

Remember, Mafiosi Rubio is not just completely insane, but desperate. He acts like a five-year-old who throws a temper tantrum whenever someone isn’t paying attention to him.

The WSJ is as far-reichwingnut as Faux Spews, and their sole and only interest is keeping George’s tax “break” handouts for billionaires. They’ll tell any lie they can’t be sent to prison for, in order to support politicians who will tax schoolteachers and firefighters more heavily than the executives spending most of their time in the golf course bar.

Crist is a rightwingnut, but Rubio is a Nazi. Crist may very well have wisely chosen the independent route to split the repug vote, because at least he’s sane enough to know that Rubio shouldn’t be allowed to so much as pick up trash on the side of the road without ankle chains and an armed guard.

Very compelling, highly intellectual argument, DieHard. Ahhh, the overwhelming reason and logic of the progressives…. THEY can be trusted with absolute power.
