Crist’s 7-word Google jab at Democrat Greene draws 300+ words of response, measure of satisfaction

Do a Google search for Democratic Senate hopeful Jeff Greene’s name this morning and you’ll see an ad from indie Senate candidate Charlie Crist over on the side that says “What has Jeff Greene done? Experience matters” and includes the Crist campaign’s Web address.

The Crist campaign’s seven-word dig at the billionaire Democratic Senate aspirant drew a response of more than 300 words this morning from the Greene campaign.

There’s plenty of indignation in the Greene response, but also satisfaction. With Greene battling party establishment favorite Kendrick Meek in the Democratic primary, the Greene camp says the Crist ad is a sign that “there is finally a strong Democratic candidate in the race gaining momentum.”

From Democrat Jeff Greene’s campaign:

GREENE FIRES BACK AT CHARLIE CRIST’S ATTACK

CALLS CRIST A ‘FLIP-FLOPPER & A TOTAL FAILURE’

May 28, 2010 – Palm Beach – Now that there is finally a strong Democratic candidate in the race gaining momentum, Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Jeff Greene, political opportunist Charlie Crist has begun to attack. Crist launched his attack against Jeff Greene through Google Adwords. The Google ad states, “What has Jeff Greene done? Experience Matters.”

In response, Jeff Greene stated, “Charlie Crist has a lot of nerve. On the same day Crist flip-flops again and a federal judge begins sorting through claims against his guilty, ponzi scheme donor Scott Rothstein, Crist attacks me for being the only outsider in this race.

Charlie Crist has experience all right, experience running our state’s unemployment rate up from 3.5% to 12%, experience watching 834,000 Floridians lose their jobs on his watch, experience promoting off-shore drilling in a state now at risk of the worst environmental disaster in our country’s history, and experience overseeing the most corrupt political party in the country now under federal investigation.

Charlie Crist has been a total failure as governor on every major issue and challenge facing this state. Crist ought to be ashamed of that kind of experience, not asking for a promotion.

Charlie Crist’s experience is something we could have done without in Tallahassee and it’s the last kind of experience we need in Washington during these difficult times. Florida voters don’t need another failed career politician like Crist in Congress, Rep. Meek is one too many already.

And, if Charlie Crist wants to know what I’ve done, I am happy to tell him. Because unlike Crist who lost jobs, I started with absolutely nothing, worked my way through Johns Hopkins University and Harvard Business School, built a successful business, created thousands of jobs, got results and will always put Florida first.

Charlie Crist is a political opportunist of the worst kind. Crist is a flip-flopper, best friends with a political donor who plead guilty to a billion dollar ponzi scheme and was knee-deep in the Republican credit card scandal.

Charlie Crist only cares about one thing, Charlie Crist. Crist will always put himself and his political ambitions first, and the people of Florida second.

Charlie Crist is right, experience does matter and Crist’s experience makes him just another career politician and a total failure.”

Well according to Google, the man hasn’t done much. Clever marketing campaign, especially when it works in Crist’s favor. The only thing Google references outside of the Post’s articles are how rich Greene is….WOW! Just what the state of Florida needs another rich silver-spooned wannabe running the place. Mr. Greene, we’re talking about taxpayer’s money, not your own. This is supposed to be our playpen, not yours. Keep out of politics and go spend some of your money and stimulate the economy. Please, Obama needs your help.
