Crist calls Specter comparison ‘laughable,’ says Tuesday was a rejection of partisanship
by George Bennett | May 19th, 2010

Crist
Republican Senate hopeful Marco Rubio’s campaign
was quick to draw parallels between Pennsylvania Democratic Senate primary loser Arlen Specter and Florida independent Senate aspirant Charlie Crist.

Specter
Specter bolted the GOP last year when it appeared being a Democrat would enhance his reelection chances in the Keystone State. Gov. Crist bolted the GOP last month when it appeared being a Republican would doom him to a primary loss to Rubio in the Sunshine State.
Crist rejects the Specter comparison.
“Did he go independent, too? Did I miss something? That’s laughable,” Crist said in an interview.
Here’s Crist’s take on Tuesday’s results in Pennsylvania, Arkansas and Kentucky:
“I think it means people are tired of Washington and not being able to get things done….People, I think, are so frustrated with people who put their party above the people they aspire to represent….What we need is a new path. I think more and more people are going to go independent.”

Well stated and accurate assessment.

This, of course, makes no sense since Sestak is more of a partisan than Specter.

It was not a rejection of partisanship, it was a rejection of an incumbent’s single minded arrogance that caused waste in an already ineffective government that does not now care about the people. Charlie, you’ll be laughing out of your other face when you lose.

He won’t lose to Bush-3, sorry Rubio, that’s for sure. I can’t wait to hear the noise level on this blog when the elections take place and Kentucky sends Rand back to his practice.
You have my vote Governor!
