Nearly 80 percent of voters aware of Crist’s veto of teacher tenure bill
by Michael C. Bender | April 22nd, 2010Above is the television ad from the Florida Education Association thanking Gov. Charlie Crist for vetoing the controversial teacher tenure bill last week. It sounds like this version is on the air in the Tallahassee market and something similar will be up soon across the state.
Meanwhile, we were leaked part of a recent poll from Hamilton Campaigns that asked 700 likely Florida voters these questions:
How much have you seen, read or heard about Governor Charlie Crist vetoing Senate Bill 6, the education
reform bill recently passed by the state legislature– a lot, just some, not too much or nothing at all?
A lot… 52 percent
Some … 27 percent

Not too much… 13 percent

bill, which had been passed by the state legislature?

Somewhat support… 13 percent
(VOL) Don’t know/Refuse… 15 percent

Sorry, Rubio will continue to get my vote.
It is a shame that two minority men are up against the perennial white man.

If there is one great thing he can be remembered for, it is vetoing that SB6.

Sometimes the public is mighty smart; sometimes they’re not. In this case, the specter of apple pie and motherhood (teachers) has blinded normally intelligent folks into believing the UNION’S crapola. This legislation was in direct response to Race to the Top funds from DC. Obama pushed it. He knows, like I know, like most thinking people know, that good teachers matter. Period. Sadly, the TEACHER’S UNION put mediocre adults ahead of the children. And most Floridians fell for it.
Crist is NOT noble on this one. He is a poll-sniffer to the 10th-degree. He was “for it” before he was “against it.” Sound familiar? Craven, idiotic, self-absorbed politician. Oops, that’s an oxymoron. But you get my point.
Let 2010 be the last year Floridians are hoodwinked by Charlie Crist. Regardless of who you vote for in the US Senate race, let it not be Charlie Crist. Think people!

He was not “for it”. He said he was for some form of a merit pay bill. Once he read the actual bill he realized there were problems with it. He did what few politicians are willing to do, listen to the will of the people. He remembered who he works for-us! Crist will be the republican candidate. Rubio is simply a Jeb puppeteer. We have had enough of the Bushes. Make no mistake, if Rubio gets elected, Jeb will be running the show.
