Cannon, Weatherford still part of Team Crist

by Michael C. Bender | April 13th, 2010

Top Florida House Republicans Dean Cannon of Winter Park and Will Weatherford of Wesley Chapel say they’re still supporting Gov. Charlie Crist in his U.S. Senate campaign against former House Speaker Marco Rubio.

Crist is trailing Rubio be a 2-to-1 margin in a poll released Monday and the two House GOP lawmakers have not been particularly vocal about their candidate.

I just came from voting. I was #83 and 1297 people were registered to vote. I took my children with me to show them how important it is to vote. I explained that less then 10% of the people voted and I asked them how many people were in their school class. My son said 24 kids, I asked him how you would feel if 2 kids showed up for school. His answer was I would be sad.
    Enough said.

If Crist signs the teacher bill that will be the day I put a D in place of the R on my affiliation
