Associated Press, Burt Aaronson call it early for Deutch in special congressional race

by George Bennett | April 13th, 2010

The Associated Press, after looking at partial results that show a big lead for Democrat Ted Deutch, is calling Deutch the winner of the special congressional election to replace Robert Wexler.

Perhaps more authoritatively, Palm Beach County Commissioner Burt Aaronson just declared Deutch “our new congressman….Let me be the first to congratulate you on a wonderful victory.”

Aaronson is at a Deutch election night party at Mizner Park.

  3. R. I. P. America Says:

At first I was not very lenient, and said “if this guy wins”… If this guy wins again in November, NO MORE.

There’s going to be a Tea Party rally at the Government Center this Thursday evening. Let’s show the Deutschbag that he is NOT our representative!

Save your Lynch signs. He’ll be back, thankfully.

  4. hahaha Says:

Sore loosers… people decided, this is a democracy. If you don’t liked it then move to Cuba..

  5. Gett off it Says:

I’m a Lynch supporter, but get off it you childish people. WAHH Our guy didn’t win. You want the USA you take the USA and it’s system. This is how we do things here. HE is your representative, and you are going to live with it.

  6. ConcernedPBCCitizen Says:

“Damn shame” is right. If you couldn’t be bothered to drag your behind to a polling place, don’t bother complaining about the Democrats. Any one who did not vote should be ashamed of themselves.

Republicans need a better candidate next time too. Two go-arounds is enough Ed, you gave it a good shot, now it’s time for someone else to try.

Once again South Florida has a chance to show the country we know what we’re doing when it comes to elections and BAM we go and screw up again.

    I think I have to move….

  7. Gett off it Says:

The party could have given some support. The dems did. This national republican party is a joke.

  8. ted Says:

Well Mr. Lynch did not have a very robust backing from his party so now the real test comes in November when Col. West unseats our spineless Rep. Ron Klein.

  9. futndemouth Says:

Hmmmm. Are you still eating crow….tastes bad, doesn’t it. Don’t worry, you get to taste more in the upcoming months as long as you keep running your mouth….What’s that smell?By the way, you need either gum, a peppermint or toothpaste…..crow is pretty stink! Ted Deutch for congress…hoooooooray:-)

    “Foot in De Mouth”

  10. José López Says:

    Latest CNN poll for 2012

    Obama 53 Romney 45

    Obama 55 Gingrich 43

    Obama 54 Huckabee 45

    Obama 55 Palin 42

  11. Cannot Wait to Leave Says:

    Jose,

Imagine how much higher Obama’s numbers could be if here were actually a Liberal instead of continuing so many of Bush’s policies

  12. voter Says:

Ted rolled to victory and so will Ron Klien. I have realized that the only upset people are a few Tea Party people who are unrealistic

  13. hahaha Says:

The problem with the Republicans is the product they are trying to sell. It sucks!!! SB 6 is a great example of what’s wrong with the Republicans.

November is not going to be any different unless the Republicans change their product for something that people would buy.

  14. geoff Says:

    jose, are you high??? really?

obama stands no chance in 2012.

he will get destroyed, the country isnt district 19, its not 70% democrat!

    people realized they got hoodwinked!

  15. nunyabuznez Says:

Now is not the time for negativity. After reading many of these comments I see that the division of this country has not been healed. Voting in a democracy is a privilege; to some the results of an honest election may be disappointing but should not provoke hatred or anger.

  16. Jon Says:

Ed Lynch didn’t get party support because he is a weak candidate in a Democratic stronghold. They will go after the areas surrounding 19 before 19 itself unless there is a very strong candidate.

If Ed Lynch really wants to have 19 a Republican seat, he will have to let someone else run.

Oh and Geoff, I told you Ted was winning this by more than both combined. Lynch being a crybaby about McCormick proved useless and only made him look stupid.

  17. Ed Says:

Calling all tbaggers, calling all tbaggers! We have a rally tomorrow about 100 miles west of Palm Beach. Please show up in great numbers and show America what we stand for!
