Fact of life, we all die. No Democrat or Republican has figured out how to change this. Very few people die without needing healthcare at some time in their life. Most of us are born using it - think maternity. Sooner or later, even those who resent paying for the old or people they feel lead unhealthy lives, will need healthcare. So go ahead, defend today's system, everyone's time will come. Let's see which side of the fence you're on when it's you who are denied insurance for life saving treatment.

I am a senior on Medicare, which I love! I have a supplement, but did not choose a Medicare Advantage plan because it requires subsidies to the insurors by the federal government, which we could not afford when it was passed, and which is helping to break Medicare. The Advantage subsidized plans are all that are being cut. Seniors can still buy a supplement for less than $175 per month, and the donut hole in Part D will be closed. It is irresponsible to say that cutting Medicare Advantage cuts Medicare. Bush got that passes without funding it to buy the senior vote, and now we find out that we can't afford it. Duh?

This is not a news event. It is
a political rally aimed at trying
to justify his refusal to vote for
needed health reform. LeMieux cares
for the health insurers and walking the party line. He has no concern for seeing
there is more health care available to
countless uninsured Floridians and those excluded by the proposed PEC clauses.

Shame on you for this charade, Senator!
