Despite the idiotic posts above in 1,2, and 3, there is a more important issue in this press release being missed. "If the signatures meet muster, Meek, a former state legislator, would be the first statewide candidate to qualify by petition."

Do you see what that says, the FIRST statewide candidate to qualify by petition. To do this he had to raise $4.6 MILLION and spend almost $1.7 MILLION since January of 2009. Clearly this demonstrates that the ballot is ABSOLUTELY NOT ACCESSIBLE to average people who cannot pull in those sums because they do not have already established relationships with special interests. It also demonstrates how petition requirements are nothing more than hurdles meant to keep average people away from politics and ballots. So goes the two-party "dumbocracy".

Marco Rubio is a closet homo. He hangs out a gay bars yet won't embrace his reality. Typical Republican. There's a nude picture of him in the bathroom of Rhythm Cafe.

Will not vote for Meeks. That's just voting for Tax and spend. He's strictly an Obama duplicate.

It is ashame that candidates need so much money to run. The poor man never gets elected.

No to Meeks!
