Marco Rubio’s high-roller political spending
by Michael C. Bender | March 13th, 2010A Times/Herald analysis of IRS records shows Rubio’s spending “belies his image as an outsider riding a wave of anti-establishment fervor and gunning to knock off Gov. Charlie Crist for the Republican U.S. Senate nomination.” From the story:
• Rubio failed to disclose $34,000 in expenses — including $7,000 he paid himself — for one of the committees in 2003 and 2004, as required by state law.
• One committee paid relatives nearly $14,000 for what was incorrectly described to the IRS as “courier fees” and listed a nonexistent address for one of them. Another committee paid $5,700 to his wife, who was listed as the treasurer, much of it for “gas and meals.”
• He billed more than $51,000 in unidentified “travel expenses” to three different credit cards — nearly one-quarter of the committee’s entire haul. Charges are not required to be itemized, but other lawmakers detailed almost all of their committee expenses.

Look for reasons to slam the Conservative. Crist is the best Democratic Govenor ever and the Post could live with him as Senator. Wheer is the dirt on the Democrats

Hey, thanks for this wonderfully enlightening article. As we Florida Crackers would say; you need to move this bull to a bigger pasture! He’s been in close quarters way to long! He’s up to his knee’s in crap! If you idiots had anythng real on Marco Rubio
you would have brought it out long ago.
Why don’t ya’ll try being fair and honest like Bill O’reilly? Tell both sides of the story! Tell about Crist’s illegal use of Sargent’s and Dr. Scott’s jets. Tell about, Mori Hosseini’s Stanaki land deal and sweet sugar deals with Crist and Lay Moo! His under the Tee Pee deals with the Seminoles! The $250 Million in Florida retirement money he, McCollum and Sink threw away in their friends New York Apartment complex failure! Oh! Did I mention that money Rothstein give Greer for those special judge appointments Crist made for him! Maybe that didn’t happen, remember Crist Barely knew Scott Rothstein. Who was that guy that bought Crist’s $50 thousand plus birthday cake? Attended the fake wedding with the beard! Whose wedding was that that CharLIE attended? Oh yea! Some dude name Rothstein, but he hardly knew him! Now, name one politician in Florida who has more “friends” headed to jail or under investigation than CharLIE Crist. What? You can’t think of one!

I’d rather have a true conservative who clearly embraces and voices their policies, even IF he’s made minor mistakes, than a mealy-mouthed, fake Republican who embraces Obama’s socialism–until rebuked by voters polled–and voices the go-along-to-get-along “bipartisan” crapola, who has made the same kind of mistakes, but on a much larger scale. Every time Shucking Chuckles campaign attacks Super Mario, he just highlights his own worse failings.

You in the LIBERAL media can try all you want to paint Rubio as a bad person. At the end of the day us Republicans wont forget Crist supporting Obama, A.C.O.R.N. and putting LIBERAL (D) Judges on the bench that are anti 2nd amendment! And we will vote for a real conservative on August 24th 2010 and thats Marco Rubio!!!

I just can’t believe how you all are making excuses for this guy in order to get your way. The true patriots would be exposing him for what he really is. You all are a bunch of fakes.
