Jeff Atwater opponent pounces on ‘two faced hypocrisy’
by Michael C. Bender | March 4th, 2010
Democratic state CFO candidate Loranne Ausley hopes to turn the Republican credit card scandal into a few bucks for her campaign against likely Republican candidate Jeff Atwater.
Ausley doesn’t mention Atwater by name, but it’s pretty clear he’s the target of her fundraiser letter. She says Republicans call for transparency, but also have a “second face…The face they try to hide.” From her letter:
These same so-called leaders have been knee-deep in the cover up of campaign expenditures; expenditures that are governed by state law and supposed to be used for very specific purposes. The excuses for a blatant lack of transparency and accountability run the gamut from “not my job” to “not my card.”
Atwater was one of several Republican leaders who had an American Express card through the Florida Republican Party. Atwater insists he had used the card for party business (unlike former House Speakers Ray Sansom and Marco Rubio, who used the cards for personal expenses), but Atwater won’t release it. We wrote about it here and the Herald/Times captured it on video here.

Are we going to start the mudslinging already? I am 40 year Democrat. Jeff Atwater is the first and only republican I ever voted for. He is also the only republican that has not disappointed me. Instead of running for CFO he should really run for Governor. Who the hell is Lorrane Ausley?

Isn’t it funny how a negative story on democrats Meeks and Klein still can not be pulled up after a 12 hours.
Can you fix that Post Times?
These democrats took money from Charlie Rangel. You know, the democrat who is the chairman of appropriations, writes tax laws…and violates them.
Charlie owns a villa in the Dominican, rented it out and didn’t declare it on his IRS form. He also accepted trips and is saying he didn’t know and heartlessly blaming his own staff. Charlie needs to go.
And Kendrick Meeks need to return the donated Rangel money.
Get rid of any ethics violator. And any democrat needs to return any Rangel money. It taints.
It’s dirty, just like Charlie RANGEL.

Isn’t this just so typical of the liberals or whatever they calling themselves this week. Progressives??? Populists???
Just can’t run a clean campaign can they. I’m sick of them and their underhanded bills. Someday, it will catch up with them.
