For a guy who stabbed political "friends", if there is such a thing, in the back by screwing up the Florida Presidential Primary by backing the non-conservative McCain he dug himself a political hole. The Obama "hug" is not what lost him the Conservatives but it is something the clueless mainstream media can understand without having to think. Crist, like most rock stars, doesn't hold up too well to quality when one listens to his music. Jeb Bush's tot tails are not out them for him any longer. The best thing for Charlie is to keep his day job as he has proven the Peter Principal is still alive so don't push it. How's that photo op marriage going? Crist would argue policy if he understood it.
