Coburn endorses Rubio
by Michael C. Bender | March 31st, 2010From the Marco Rubio campaign this morning:
“I proudly endorse Marco Rubio for the U.S. Senate and look forward to working with him in Washington. His genuine principles and proven record are evidence that he will come to Washington and be a consistent advocate for fiscal responsibility, individual liberty and the traditional values that have made America great.” –Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla.
Here’s the breakdown so far for endorsements from the 41 Republicans in the U.S. Senate:
For Rubio: Coburn; Jim DeMint, S.C; James Inhofe, Okla.
For Charlie Crist: Lamar Alexander, Tenn.; John Cornyn, Texas; Lindsey Graham, S.C.; John McCain, Ariz.; Mitch McConnell, Ky.

it’s the moderates v conservatives.
Moderates are more like democrats, this country NEEDS conservatives like Rubio.

The breakdown translated: For Rubio: three wackos; for Crist: the only even partially thinking reasonable Republicans left in the US Senate.

More wackos and fanatics for Rubio.

I would think Crist would have more endorsements than that. He’s Governor and has had an opportunity to do favors for more people.
I’m voting for Rubio. The last thing we need in this country is another opportunist in the US Senate. If Crist thought he could win, he would pull and Arlen Specter. He has few, if any, principles.

I think someone forgot a few big names on Marco’s side, particularly Congressional ROCK Star “Young Gun”
Paul Ryan (R) Wisconsin, and also former governor, Mike Huckabee.
The fact that Senator Lindsey Graham endorsed Gov. Crist should be enough for every sane Republican in Florida to RUN the other way, are you kidding me?! What a liberal!
