Burt Aaronson: The ‘Godfather’ of Palm Beach County?

by Dara Kam | March 3rd, 2010

Recognizing Palm Beach County day today, PBC home-boy Sen. Dave Aronberg recited some facts about the state’s largest county before giving a shout-out to some county officials watching the Senate session from the East Gallery.

Aronberg, D-Greenacres, introduced PBC Commissioner Burt Aaronson as “The Godfather of Palm Beach County.”

Aaronson was first elected to the commission in 1992.

Aronberg’s intro may be considered a dubious distinction, considering that three of Aaronson’s former county commission colleagues are in prison for corruption charges.

Thank God for term limits! Bless it be!

    Aaronson will be GONE.

He gave away 2000 acres of PBC land to Broward county…not a penny did PBC get.

A tax base gone to another county.

Aaronson approved development in an agricultural area.

Aaronson gave taxpayer money to put a road THROUGH a developer’s property, that helped the developer.

Aaronson accepted a free cruise from the phony Boca Filmfest head while asking for money from the taxpayers to fund the festival.

Good riddance. And Burt wants to INCREASE TAXES (he uses the code word – revenue-) countywide.

A county wide SALES TAX and A SPECIAL FUNDING SOURCE for firefighters.(they will always seeks an increase in their salaries, pensions, benefits -2 massages a month, work only 8 days a month..guaranteed 5% raises)

    Buh bye Burt!

And Aronberg is another goat that needs to go. He does nothing!

  2. Tom Says:

Aaronson has been at the public trough long enough. Time to go.
