At WPB coffee party: ‘To me, government is the answer’
by George Bennett | March 14th, 2010
WEST PALM BEACH — About 40 people showed up for Saturday’s first meeting of the local “coffee party” chapter, part of a national movement triggered by by pro-Obama filmmaker Annabel Park’s rants against the conservative tea party movement.
“To me, government is the answer. I’m really sort of perplexed,” said one coffee partier.
The event was one of hundreds nationwide. Read more here.

I think they sincerly belive that government is the answer. For me that’s the great thing about a Rubio v Meeks battle it will be a real look at how 2 sides attack the same issues.

We should live in a utopian society where the government provides everything for us, and decides what is best for us, even if it is a meager existance…while the government officials live a life of luxury paid for by exploiting our labor.

Rich, if that is what you believe, you would have to change your name to Poor.

Government is the answer if the question is what is broken.

If more government is the answer, it must be a very stupid question. If you are a dependent person, govternment is the answer for you. If you are a free minded person, a confident and self assured person then more govternment.(less freedom) is not for you. More government=more taxes & less service.

There is no utopia. Don’t depend on government, learn to depend on yourself.
Be a grown-up and take responsibility.

Government is the problem. Government on every level is corrupt. The government and the people who work in it think we serve them and not the other way around. Government takes from us and gives us nothing in return. As in one a previous reply; the government can’t run a post office, can’t run a school system. They can barely put up a stop sign. They only thing the government does is raise taxes, cut services, gives themselves raises and pad their own retirement. I love my country, I love my guns, I love my Chevy and I hate my government.

This has been going on since the beginning of time. Even after WW2 my Grandmother had three old sorry brothers that all they wanted to do was lay up on somebody and stay drunk all the time. Of course to those of you to young and dumb to know we didn’t have all these fancy designer drugs back then. It was mostly home brew, wine and white lightening. But it managed to keep them worthless and sorry as hell anyway. Today its easier and many more couch potato accessories to keep the worthless in the manner in which they want to stay accustomed too. What they are too dumb to realize is before the government can give them money to lay on their butt, the government has got to get the money from somewhere. They can’t always just print it like the messiah has and even when they do someone is expected to pay it back. Herein cometh the working, taxpaying, realestate owning, voters who are damn tired of passing drug screens and working 2-3 jobs and giving the government 75% of their earnings so the government can give it to drug and alcohol addicts who don’t do anything but lay up on the couch and make more babies. Here’s another problem, since they don’t work and just lay around and sell drugs and make babies, they are making so many they now want we the taxpayers to pay for their abortions. I for one would prefer my tax dollars be spent on nut cuttings, historectomies and female circumcisions which would help to cease the desires for all this wasted sex to begin with. We are going to start an organization to promote these issues. Called: No Nuts-Clit Gone-No Need For Play Pen Now.

The immediate answer to the oil, insurance, pharma, and healthcare industries is, unfortuanately, regulation. These industries have lobbyied so hard to get their way. They have bought our politicians. Do you think that the problem will be resolved and the abuses go away by themsleves. I wish I did not have to buy insurance, gas, electricity, medications, etc. These industries provide a critical service to this country and should not be allowed to “name their price”. We are not talking about coca cola and twinkies. It should be about competiton and fair market. Why does the same medication cost Americans $350 and Canadians $25. Why are speculators and oil companies permitted to manipulate oil prices? We all know that we have gone from 13+ oil companies in the 90′s to about 5 today. These industries do not self regulate. This is greed and it is affecting everyone. Forget socialism, we are well on the way to becoming an oligarchy. Let’s face it, the rich are not getting poorer and the middle class is disappearing. These are not party issues, corruption is rampant on both sides of the isle. Time is not on our side and we as a country, better find a short term solution to this until we find the real long term solution.

Coffe Party – Bog Government Lovers.. it really is this easy – what you want already exists…. Move to Cuba, beautifuk beaches, mountains… Move to Venezula… and take Sean Penn with you. Then you can have a government run society, we can have less government… and it’s a win win for everyone. Can I buy your ticket? I gladly will…

I’m perfectly capable of running my own life. I do not want nor need some flunky political hack making rules that have an impact on my daily life. If government is the answer, What kind of F67832up question is being asked?

The “grassroots” Coffee Party Movement, isn’t so “grassroots”.
The coffee party is partnered with democracyinaction, a 501(c)(3) organization, (meaning contributions to the latter are tax-deductible) whose motto is “wiring the progressive movement” for “social justice”.
Democracyinaction gets its funding from the Open Society Institute (funded by GEORGE SOROS!). Democracyinaction is also linked to wiredforchange whose clients include the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and the DEMOCRATIC Congressional Campaign Committee.

And, here is Annabel, herself, urging Coffee Partiers to go to this website ………
http://swampbubbles.com/person/annabel-park
The bottom line is that Annabel Park is a seasoned political activist who got frustrated with the fact that the Tea Parties were getting their message heard, and the liberals who support Obama were not.
So, she co-opted the Tea Party’s format and told everyone that the intention is to promote “civility in discourse”. The fact is, her intention was to amass enough people to get attention in order to promote Obama and his agenda, and get him reelected. She didn’t care about civility when she was trashing the Tea Parties, though, and she originally said that her intention was to render the Tea Party obsolete.
If people want the same things Annabel Park wants, that’s great – but, everyone who doesn’t want to promote and support Obama and his reelection should know that they’re being used.

Democrats want the people to run the government. Republicans want the corporations to run the government.
Tea baggers cry about government takeover of the private sector? I think it’s been the other way around. Corporations and lobbyists taking over the government to enrich their profits at the expense of We the People.
In a country of some 300 odd million people we don’t count. In spite of the fact that we vote, we as citizens do not run the country.
300 million citizens and the country is run by the Fortune 500 or “Fortunate 500″.
Free trade is a nice sounding phrase for big business to cover up usury, profiteering and lawless speculation, abetted by bought-and-paid-for government officials. We have free markets for those that can afford to pay for admission … these days that means fewer and fewer
people …

Any news about the tea party build up before the congressional vote on Obamacare? How’s about some real news.

We are the answer, not government. The government has no power that we don’t lend to them. If they aren’t representing us, we need to ask them to surrender that power.
Get Involved. Make History. Restore Honor.
