Defying conventional wisdom, Dem challenger Craft pushes health care overhaul in GOP-leaning district
by George Bennett | February 1st, 2010Undeterred by polls or Scott Brown’s victory in Massachusetts, Democratic congressional challenger Chris Craft says Congress should press ahead with health care reform.
Craft, hoping to unseat freshman GOP Rep. Tom Rooney of Tequesta in a Republican-leaning district, supported the health care bill that passed the House last year on a 220-to-215 vote with Rooney opposed.
Read about it in this week’s Politics column.
As noted over the weekend, Rooney began 2010 with more than a 7-to-1 financial advantage over Craft. Craft is listed as one of the Democrats’ “recruiting duds” in a campaign money round-up by Politico.com

Craft has my support. Rooney has done nothing except oppose any kind of reform and support Bush on virtually every issue. What ahs he done for our district?

Hey Gordon, like a lot of democrats, you continue to attack George W. Bush. Haven’t you heard that we have a new President named Barack Obama who has an overwhelming majority in both the senate and house? George W Bush has not taken a public position on anything other than working with Bill Clinton to help the people of Haiti. But then again Gordon, maybe yhou haven’t heard about the earthquake that struck Haiti.
Get your f— head out of the sand.

Great strategy Craft…there are only about 30% of the American public that want it so, good luck with that. Typical politician that thinks they know whats best for the people instead of “representing” the people. You better keep your day job.
