Crist: A tea party-pooper
by Michael C. Bender | February 27th, 2010From the editorial page this morning:
In an interview Friday with The Palm Beach Post Editorial Board, Gov. Crist not only was eager to defend Florida’s acceptance of $15 billion in stimulus money from the Obama administration, he wouldn’t throw President Obama under a bus festooned with Tea Party bumper stickers.
Asked whether he agreed with the labels some Tea Partiers have plastered on Mr. Obama — communist, fascist, tyrant — Gov. Crist said, “I don’t think any labels are justified.” Asked about criticism that, as governor, he hasn’t done enough to bring down unemployment, Mr. Crist said he’s doing everything he can, including taking the stimulus money, which he said had saved 87,000 jobs in Florida. Gov. Crist extended the same courtesy to Mr. Obama, declining to blame the president for high unemployment rate. He said Mr. Obama is doing the best he can.

It looks like just as with his sick lifestyle, Charlie don’t know what he is! Apparently he is a Repubacrat. Which ever direction appears to be in his best politican benefit is the direction he goes. We don’t need this sicko and others like him in public office of any kind. Dump the trash!

Talk about political suicide! Put a fork in him. Rubio is the man….

Tom Gallagher was more the conservative, but was a slimeball as Insurance Commissioner – in the same mold as Bill Nelson. Except that Bill Nelson sold indulgences – cocktail party fundraisers were required to get an appointment to discuss insurance rate filings…
Crist is a liberal that would spend everything he could get his hands on! For example, Veterans are declining in numbers as WW2 & Korean war members die off. Our 1.4 million Military will produce less replacements than our 2.4 million pre-Bill Clinton.
Veterans benefits are Federal and were doubled during Bush 43′s eight years, salvaging the huge decline in Defense budget from Clinton. VA hospitals are being closed and civilian clinics used more to better serve that smaller population.
Against this, Crist sucked up to the nation at war loving its Military and expands the FL resources by a couple hundred. Totally unnecessary, just another populist appeal for his own political theater!
Jeb Bush reduced state employee counts back to 1992 levels. With two decades of new technology we should regress another 25% immediately thru attrition and then carefully plan the additional 25% reduction over the next decade!
Rubio is capable of such a vision IF voters have finally had ENUFF of big, bloated, non-productive, job sapping goverment. Crist is not!
Bush left a grand 8 year legacy of massive investment in infrastructure, education and fiscal soundness – a $7 Billion rainy day fund. Floridians need to look closely at the failed Democrat states such as Kaleefornya, Illallnoise, Meechegun, Moo Jersey, and Road Island – we can avoid that by regaining our historical conservative government posture.
AND enact Rubio’s 6% Sales Tax WITH NO EXEMPTIONS to get rid of property taxes and misc junk. Keep the half of those employees willing to chase down the 25-30% of current illegal economy avoiding sales taxation and our future would indeed be bright!!

Just remember that day after day the Palm Beach Post puts up negative republican stories and positive democrat stories.
This newspaper is slanted. The Post will endorse democrats come election day.
America’s newspapers are losing money. This is one example why that is occurring. People are going elsewhere for their news. They seek more of a balance.
You can’t place your faith, hope in newspapers. It’s THEIR agenda, not a balanced agenda.

Hey Dru, if newspapers run more stories of your agenda will they start making money. Talk about needing remedial economics.
And if you think Florida economy would be booming by laying off 87000 workers or replacing property tax with sales tax, you are so far of the kilter that it is an embarrassment to have a conversation with you. Please accept my apologies for your mental deficiencies.

The worthless home time bomb has only just begun to explode. Property tax revenues in the high risk states, including Florida, will drop another 25% in the next three years. We should cap property taxes at 1% and find alternative taxes. We must make home owning affordable or this country will financially dissolve. 75% of the assets of this country are in real estate equity. We need to get used to third world schools, services and lifestyles.

Floridians do not need any more proof that Crist is a liberal. Now the question is: why doesn’t Crist switch over to the other party already? No one in their right mind will vote for another rino, there are plenty of them in Washington. Crist should just pull out of the race instead of embarrassing himself further. What a loser!
