Crist circulates health care petition on revamped campaign site
by Michael C. Bender | January 7th, 2010UPDATE II: A response from Rubio’s campaign, too: “No one should be fooled by Charlie Crist’s latest attempt at an extreme makeover. President Obama is now in a position to execute an expensive government takeover of our health care system because Charlie Crist helped him achieve an early big government, big spending victory on the failed stimulus package. Charlie Crist has about as much credibility on health care and fiscal restraint among Republicans as President Obama does. After all, there are plenty of reasons Charlie Crist is Barack Obama’s favorite Republican governor.”
Republican Gov. Charlie Crist is asking for your help to “stand up to President Obama and his back-room health care deals” on his re-designed campaign site. (Press release here.)
Crist is somewhat of an expert on backroom deals: He created the state’s Office of Open Government within days of taking control of the governor’s office, but he’s also been accused of keeping the blinds closed while he negotiated a gambling deal with the Seminole Tribe, installed former campaign manager George LeMieux into the U.S. Senate and, earlier this week, lined up support for state Sen. John Thrasher to replace Jim Greer as Florida Republican Party chairman.
UPDATE: The Crist campaign argues that none of the three examples Florida Democrats give qualify as “backroom deals.” And they make some good points, including all of the documents from the gambling deal are subject to the state’s open records law. For now, we’ll save most of the back-and-forth for a deeper story on this issue a little later.
The new CharlieCrist.com site — which prominently features an embarrassing video of his primary opponent, former House Speaker Marco Rubio — also includes an “On the Issues” page that outlines his positions on a dozen topics. We haven’t had a chance to comb through them yet, but feel free to leave a comment if you see anything interesting…

This Loon will stop at nothing to get a story of his ongoing shenanigans on the web or in the media. Crist and cronies are famous for their backroom deals. Judges and board appointments for sale. You name it and this corrupt bugger has done it. Now he thinks he can organize a rebellion against the Obamacare bill. He has had his nose right up Obama’s butt until he found out the voters are tired of this crap. CharLIE don’t forget Eric Holder is in charge of the Just Us department. He can help the Feds speed up this corruption investigation of Scott Rothstein and freinds of which you are a documented one.

CharLIE, Why don’t you argue about your lack of memory of Scott Rothstein. Or, the Stanaki Land deal that cost the taxpayers extra millions after you helped your seller friend acheive development rights on the property and putting Mori Hosseini’s sister on the SJRWM board. The $250 million you, McCollum and Sink sunk in the New York City Apartment scam with your politican donors. Your oil rich tycoon friend Harry Sargent and the millions he has passed around. And you put your Jet owner HMO Doctor friend Steve Scott on the board of the University of Florida. Why is so many of your friends on the who’s who list of folks the feds want to talk too?

No wonder CharLIE and the crooks and hacks in Tally don’t want Obamacare. They would have to pay for it. Now their health care is free to them. Only we the taxpayers have to pay for it so they can enjoy the good life.

The best tool for citizens to follow the money is by reading candidates campaign treasurer reports.
Watch for donors like Brown & Brown, Inc. hidden in these groups. This is an insurance brokerage company (mafia?) that is acquiring huge city and county contracts after contributing large political contributions to politicians. Governor Crist just recently appointed a Brown & Brown, Inc. executive to the Florida Buildings Commission Board - Tony Grippa - a former Leon County Commissioner who initiated a huge county insurance contract with Brown & Brown, Inc. while a Leon County Commissioner. Brown & Brown, Inc. was Grippa’s largest contributor. Grippa threatened citizens who asked questions. Grippa’s alliance with the local Leon County Sheriff enabled the threats to be carried out without complications or ramifications to him and his minions.
Grippa robbed the local Leon County Republican Executive Committee of $35,000 for the DEMOCRAT Leon County Sheriff (Campbell) to do radio ads. The Sheriff became Grippa’s biggest minion (accomplice?).
The Sheriff filed bogus charges against the whistleblower and enlisted detectives, assistant state attorneys, judges, to participate in the farce (illegal activities) all the while Crist was Attorney General.
The Tallahassee Democrat reporters and editors are too insecure, inept, and too busy pandering to Crist, Grippa, and Sheriff Campbell to report the truth.
Do you think Gelbar was advised (threatened?) to drop out of the race against Crist by Crist’s minions? You bettcha!!! Brown & Brown, Inc. is now under an antitrust violations investigation by the Connecticut Attorney General - the same AG who recently exposed the AIG bonus recipients.
