Behind the Crist, Rubio cash-on-hand figures…
by George Bennett | January 26th, 2010
- Crist: $7.5 million on hand
- Rubio: $2 million on hand
But not all that money can be spent before the primary. Contributors can give up to $2,400 for a primary and $2,400 for a general election. So some of the money a candidate collects from big givers can’t be used until after the primary.
Neither campaign offered precise figures today. A Crist spokeswoman says “the majority” of Crist’s $7.5 million is available for the primary. A Rubio spokesman says “practically all” of Rubio’s money is for the primary.

This is amazing! The more I see about politics the more it makes me sick. It appears everything is about money. Parties don’t care about issues, they want to support candidates that raise money.

The lame brain voting public has always wanted to be on the winning side and historically the biggest money collector had the most support. No longer true! The corrupt can collect untold millions of special interest money. Honest, decent candidates on the other hand refuse such corrupt contributions because like a tampax, there’s strings attached. Charlie Crist equals corruption. He has done favors for everyone with a check in their hand.
Hopefully his day is coming and soon. Marco Rubio has the support of the people on the ground. The lame stream media and lame brain professional corrupt politicians have made fun of the grass roots movements. Believe me the people of this country are waging a politican revolution and the organized corruption and politics as usual folks from both parties (Much like Mass. last week) are going to be voted out of office and replaced with hopefuly honest folks who will listen to the will of the people. If they fail, they will also be gone next election time. Money might buy you love, but money won’t buy the political offices this time. Honesty and responding directly to the people is what they want now!
