Sure it may take a while for taking the train to catch on especially if you do nothing to promote it. Which is exactly what is happening now! If a hotel chain gave a discounted room to people coming to town by train and picked you up at the train Senior groups would certainly get on board especially if somebody locally gave organized town tours. You get your money for nothing. While the concept is good, Bill is correct. We can't get people to use tri-rail. If Florida had a larger professional industry it may work to shuttle people from Tampa to Orlando but lets be real. This is a project to just do something. Why would tourists take this to Fort Lauderdale? The jobs we need aren't construction but they are hoping construction will lead to other jobs. This rail will be a failure.
