SEIU Florida members endorse Ted Deutch for Congress

by Michael C. Bender | December 4th, 2009

Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Florida members today announced their endorsement of State Sen. Ted Deutch, D-Boca Raton, for the District 19 congressional seat vacated by Robert Wexler.

“As our next member of Congress, Ted Deutch will fight for Florida’s working families by promoting greater access to health care, improving our public schools and supporting fairness in the workplace,” said Betsy Marville, a nurse in West Palm Beach and SEIU Healthcare Florida’s Executive Vice President.  “We look forward to helping ensure his victory in February’s primary and his electoral triumph in April,” she added.

  1. Dalia Finkelstein Says:

Now we know who NOT to vote for. Who would want to support anyone endorsed by a thug union?

  2. Feminists for Graber Says:

Ben Graber has stood up for women’s rights for over 20 years. He can be relied on to take on our toughest foes.
We will support him for congress on the web, the streets and the airways.

  3. Pat Says:

Go ahead and waste your time and money. Ted Deutch is also a supporter of women’s rights and workers’ rights; and he hasn’t constantly changed political parties. I wouldn’t support Ben Graber no matter who his opponent. What would you know about SEIU other than what your tea party friends have said; and we all know how up to date they are on issues in south Florida.

  4. Democratic update Says:

It seems that Graber was a democrat since 1968. He was elected six times as a democrat. He ran as a non party affiliated democrat in 2008. His ads all say democrat from that campaign. Non party is not another party. Accuracy is important Pat. Please correct. You are misleading people. That’s called negative campaigning..don’t go there.

  5. Charlie Says:

SEIU = ACORN! Is that really a good endorsement? Seems like Ted Deutch is turning out to be a good Wexler mini-me! If you want to win Deutch, perhaps you should disassociate from Wexler. I would hate to have to vote for Graber!

  6. Vote Says:

Agree, if endorsed by SEIU do not vote for them. Goons, thugs, tough guys. That mentality is not what this state needs.

    INCREASED TAXES=DEMOCRATS

  7. Vote Says:

And remember the party in control of the State in 2010 helps divvy up the voting districts after the census

    AND

the governor appoints the Secretary of State who would be in charge of voting results.

    Vote in 2010 and 2012.

SEIU is one of the most worthless organizations in US. They are responsible for many of the US jobs that have been outsourced to China. One warning to them The Working Middle Class will vote for Change they believe in. People that don’t waste Government money and give away the rest to groups like yours that are in bed with ACORN. Ted Deutsch is a good man hopefully he will say to you NO THANKS you are a lightning rod for voter anger. Lets also remember that SEIU also represents and supports illegal immigration and any policy changes necessay to lower the standard of living of most americans. .
