Normally I lean to the right, but Aronberg is a smart guy that writes quality legislation. You just need to talk to him once to feel comfortable about him having decision making power, which is a nice change from many of the legislators I've met in Tallahassee.

I have to say, the battle for both the Dem and the GOP AG nods are becoming the races to watch in La Florida. I'm getting the feeling that both the Dem candidates will pop up again (even the loser). Kind of like Scott Maddox and Buddy Dwyer in the 2002 field. Both Gelber and Aronberg have done well so far and they and their camps have not gone after each other yet. Is Alex Sink looking at one of them for the understudy LG role?

Calm down, Dee. Have you ever heard of a politician who doesn't give serious attention to his or her public image? Can you think of another way to get elected, especially in a state-wide race?

And plus, Dave Aronberg is one of the few politicians in Florida actually worth printing any positive material about anyway. No politician is even close to perfect, but Dave's actually a decent guy and extremely hard-working - just ask anyone who actually knows him.

If Dave Aronberg is well-covered in the media, it must mean that what he is doing as a State Senator is well worth covering.

I just received this email. I am impressed by the fact that Dave Aronberg garners support from sheriffs from a number of different counties across Florida, some of which are very traditionally "red". I also received a prior email that he has the endorsement of the Florida Fraternal Order of Police (FOP). As a Democrat, I would like to see a candidate run in our party who can win against the Republicans for the second most important elected position in Florida's Executive Branch. Aronberg has proved he can do that 3x with his current State Senate seat.

Dave Aronberg is a publicity hound.

He attaches himself to school parents who are upset.

He attaches himself to a tv camera anytime he can.

He has a friend at the PB Post that constantly focus on Aronberg's happenings.

Has the PB Post EVER given as much publicity, space to other candidates as it gives to Aronberg?

DAVE ARONBERG ANNOUNCED HIS 10th CONSECUTIVE SHERIFF ENDORESEMENT TODAY!!

I just got this email from Dave:

I am honored to announce that we have earned our 10th consecutive endorsement from a Florida Sheriff. Sheriff Jeffrey J. Dawsy of Citrus County -- a Democrat elected in a red county -- issued this statement:

"Dave Aronberg’s legacy as a State Senator and Assistant Attorney General has been to take an active role in protecting the safety of Floridians. His leadership helping us fight violent gangs and prescription drug abuse, and his effectiveness in fighting consumer fraud, make him perfectly suited to be our next Attorney General. I proudly endorse Dave!"

When we began this campaign, we had hoped that a handful of active Sheriffs would step up and publicly endorse our candidacy. With a Democratic primary opponent, for us to earn even a single endorsement would have been gratifying. But to earn the support of every endorsing Sheriff -- 10 so far -- as well as the Fraternal Order of Police, has, quite frankly, exceeded my expectations.

Our State Attorney General is formally called the state’s chief legal officer, but it is also known by many as the state’s "top cop." It is truly humbling to know that 10 active law enforcement leaders -- top cops in their own right -- have spoken out early and so strongly on behalf of our candidacy.

My deepest thanks to each of them:

Ric Bradshaw, Palm Beach County Sheriff
Sadie Darnell, Alachua County Sheriff
Jeffrey J. Dawsy, Citrus County Sheriff
Joey Dobson, Baker County Sheriff
David Harvey, Wakulla County Sheriff
Ken Mascara, St. Lucie County Sheriff
J. Harrell Reid, Hamilton County Sheriff
Gordon Smith, Bradford County Sheriff
Steve Whidden, Hendry County Sheriff
Stuart Whiddon, Glades County Sheriff

Being Attorney General is not just a job for me, and not a mere political stepping stone: It is my passion. I am a former Assistant Attorney General and current State Senator who has fought for public safety and consumer protection my entire career.

By taking a moment to donate to our campaign, you are making a statement that it’s time we elect an Attorney General who actually wants to be Attorney General.
