Florida GOP leader faces revolt by top fundraisers
by Michael C. Bender | December 31st, 2009A dozen of Florida’s top Republican fund-raisers called for the resignation of their state party chairman in a letter late Tuesday, saying without his removal Republicans had a “diminished” chance for success in a crucial election next year.
“There must be a change in leadership to successfully execute the strategic plan for victory in 2010 election cycle for Republicans,” according to the letter.
Jim Greer has resisted several resignation calls this year from party activists. “He intends to serve the remainder of his term,” Greer’s spokeswoman said Wednesday.
But the letter from the fund-raisers, who have combined to personally donate more than $2.1 million to the state party in the past decade, is the biggest hurdle yet for Greer, Palm Beach County Republican Chairman Sid Dinerstein said. The letter includes names of Republicans with national fund-raising reputations, including Ned Siegel of Boca Raton and Al Hoffman of Fort Myers.

Greer and Crist are both acting like juveniles. Our future is at stake and they have kidnapped the RPOF for there own benefits. Those who are supporting a 3rd party like the tea baggers mean well. But, going back to the bull moose party, it does not work. The only possible method of survival of the RPOF is for true conservatives to take control of the party now! Divided we are conquered! Reorganized with a true conservative base and rid of the RINO’s and personal deal makers we will be like Reagan in 1980, we will win. The voters are tired of this corruption from city hall to washington. They are ready to clean house. Not with the smell of corruption surronding Crist and Greer. The reason Greer want give up easy is because he knows once he is out the financial crisis will come to light and he will go to jail.

Better start cutting pay and benefits for all government employees. Put all on a 401k pension, in place of the guraranteed defined benefit of 3% a year that polcie and firefighters get. A 25% pay cut is still less that the 37% drop in home prices in our area. CUT GOVERNMENT SPENDING NOW!
