Scott Rothstein: A Compassionate Heart

by Michael C. Bender | November 4th, 2009

cristrothsteinmartinez-lasolaslifestyle

That’s the unfortunate headline about the then high-flying Fort Lauderdale attorney in the October 2007 issue of Las Olas Lifestyle.

From the article:

Politics is another in Rothstein’s never ending streams of passions. And, he focuses much of his attention on assisting those who help children in need. Rothstein believes every child should have the opportunity to live a better quality of life, regardless of their environment and elected officials need to create this opportunity.

“Governor Charlie Crist, is the perfect example. I started supporting him when he was running for Attorney General. I studied his principles. I met with him for hours, and decided this guy is the key to true change. He won the election and truly made a difference. He called upon me again when he decided to run for Governor and I supported him with every ounce of my being. This is a person of pure unadulterated passion and integrity. His approval rating is through the roof because he does what he believes in his heart is right and doesn’t play games along party lines or with peoples lives. He is the peoples Governor, plain and simple. And, some day I am certain he will be the people’s President.”

All with “OPM” a real big shot! Another Florida phonie and crook…

Is he from Boca - Where the rest of the crooks and phonies reside?

BOVA - interesting — FEDS and IRS will pay Tony a visit very soon…

  2. bauhaus Says:

scuttlebutt sez Scotties modus was to ask his “buds” to bank some money until he told them who to write a check to…I think Rothstein came in 3rd in bundled contributions to the McCain campaign for example… and we have politicians who are only returning “Scotties’” checks, not his many buds, patriots and compatriots, all of whom should be talking to counsel..

    Bye Bye “Senator” Crist.

  3. LSD Says:

It’s easy to be compassionate when you are spending another persons money.

  4. BetterThanReporter Says:

Where were all the investigative stories about this and the $60 BILLION MADOFF STOLE FROM PALM BEACH RESIDENTS for the last 2 years let alone 20 years in the Palm Beach Post and other newspapers in South Florida? These same and other newpapers were taking the money from these guys for their causes and foundations and childrens funds as well. No wonder this and other papers are going out of business. This just proves newspapers are always the last to know.

  5. andy boy Says:

When Rothstein bolted the GOP and went with Alex Sink for Governor Roger Stone , his GOP buddy , broke with him and declared war.

  6. I am Compassionate also Says:

I am also a very compassionate person, and if you give me 500 million dollars,I promise to use other peoples stolen money to fund my favorite politicians campaign accounts.

  7. Katie Says:

This guy is a pig. I’m sure that all his “compassion” was really all about Scott and getting his name in the paper. What a scum bag.

  8. JEWRAT Says:

Another one of “The Chosen” caught stealing huge amounts of cash. You think Rothstein is big, do a search on Dov Zakheim who “misplaced” $2.7 trillion of US taxpayers money in 2001 (news broke the day before 9/11, what a coincidence and deliberate distraction)

compassionate? how compassionate was it to take the payroll of all the single mothers and hard working HONEST people that dedicated thier lives to thier job. if he had any compassion he would have just taken some of the money and not left a lot of good people in dire straights. people losing thier homes because their meger escrow money has been stolen. he has no compassion, hes just another greedy scumbag that needs to get his just deserves from Bubba in prison. tight-end going in, wide receiver coming out. have fun mr compassion.
