from day one when i read the story about gabriel.something did’nt set right with me about it.if you read the background on gabriel the reports from cps you will read that most of what he did was all on hear says.this is one little boy that haunts me.i pray that what every the police do about this little childs death does not go unfounded.number one he wasnot given a chanch to be a little boy.and if he was that bad he should of been in a hospital.not with two people that both worked.no child should be taking the medication gabriel was being given unless they are 18teen years og age.he had a name his name was gabriel.he was just a baby.he did.nt deserve to die like he did.look at his picture.i hope you keep putting his picture up tell the truth comes out.dont let this little boys death be in vain.

Jesus friggin’ Christ, Dara, did you even look at what you were typing?! Did the kid’s age need to be said twice in one sentence?! Could you split the sentence apart to make it any more incoherent?! Why the hell is “cause of” so far from “death”?!

Here’s your rewrite, Dara:
“A medical examiner found that the cause of death for Gabriel Myers, the 7-year-old Broward County foster child who was found hanged while in state custody, was ‘undetermined” and that he did not commit suicide.”

You know, I’m wondering about all this terminology. I understand that there is a “cause of death” and a “means of death” or something like that. Clearly, although they may not know WHO hanged him or WHY he was hanged, they know the CAUSE of his actual physical death: STRANGULATION by whatever he was hanged with!

How can they say that the cause of death is undetermined? They should say that the hanging killed him, but they don’t know the cause of the hanging!

How is it that “he hanged HIMSELF” but that he “did not commit suicide.”

If the finding states that he did not commit suicide, then he is not the one who hanged him.

Perhaps the writer should have said that “he was found hanged.” That would be consistent with a finding that he was not the one who made it happen.

(All this is apart from the question of whether he did or did not hang himself or if someone else hanged him.)

With all the “miscommunication” that DCF has in their history, their inability to keep their ducks in a row, their ineptness and their continuous inability to keep track of these kids and their foster parents- this is not a surprise and it won’t surprise to read in a few days that the foster parents were behind this child’s sad, premature and premeditated death. I have never, ever heard of a 7 year old committing suicide. Hope the police will really look into this.
